One uninformed opinion: I finally got around to watching videos of two games each for Bosa the Allen - videos of every snap of them during the games. Limited data for sure and I know I'm far from knowledgable about a lot of important aspects of what goes into making a very good edge rusher, but my assessment is as it seems is a majority of the people here - pick Bosa and then Allen if Bosa is gone.
What I saw in the videos was Bosa engaging OL with noticeably more power than Allen and that made a difference in how he was able to disrupt the QB and sometimes get sacks. I'm sure part of the appearance of power comes from the refined way he uses leverage, though. Bosa seemed to be a little more heads-up as the plays unfolded. Allen struck me as quicker and faster once he figures out what he wants to do, but he isn't as quick as Bosa to figure it out. That was my impression anyway.
I liked what I saw of Allen. I'm sure he would/will benefit from a little more fully-grown man strength. From what I saw I can certainly understand why quite a few people seem to feel that Allen has a higher ceiling than Bosa. It wouldn't surprise me if turns out that he does, but for this position for the present state of the team, I think Bosa will bring a bigger boost to the team than Allen. And though Allen might have a higher ceiling, in terms of what I saw during those games I viewed, he is starting out at a noticeably lower level than Bosa and it's always hard to tell whether potential will be realized (if the potential is actually even there in the first place).

Because the cards suck and need help everywhere. That's why no one knows who they'll take. They could use Bosa, Q Williams, Murray or even a tackle. We won't know who they're gonna pick until Goodell announces it. Gonna be the most interesting opening for the draft for niner fans in a loooong time. Everyone knew 2 years ago Myles Garrett was going #1. But I don't think anyone will know outside of the cards top brass until we are on the clock.

If we end up with Allen I am hoping it's kinda of like last year. We didn't get the Olineman I really wanted, but the one we got is pretty damn good and I am really happy he's a 49er.

Bosa really wants to be a Card though. He'd be the 1st pick and their LB's coach worked with him at Ohio St.
I hope he's there, ends up a 9er and uses that slight as motivation to destroy the Cards every time we play them and Willow light.

Hoping the Tards trade Rosen before the draft, that way we clearly know who they're picking

That would be ideal for sure. Then we can focus on the rest of the draft.

I really don't care. Bosa, Allen, DK Metcalf, Q Williams or trade out

Cards best option is obviously a trade down with all of their holes. I'm sure he'd do well as an OLB in their 3-4 but their pass rush may have been rheirnonly strength and Bosa's best position is honestly in a 4-3.

I'd ultimately be happy with any of the above honestly.

"It would be a dream come true," Bosa said. "Coach Bill Davis from Ohio State is the linebackers coach over there. He obviously was at Ohio State with me. That would mean so much to me to be thought of as the best player in the draft."

I'd throw up in my mouth if we took another 3-tech.
But I really do not believe the Cardinals would pass on Bosa, except maybe to trade down (maybe this Kyler stuff is a smoke screen to get someone interested in their pick?).

He wants to be the #1 overall pick - Cards just happen to have the pick.
