Once again, pro day times are not equivalent to combine times. Combine times are partially electronic timed (hand start, electronic finish). The difference between the two measurements is on average about 0.12 seconds.
He's not as fast as Von Miller who ran a 4.53 at the combine at 246 pounds. I haven't been able to find a definitive arm length for Cole, but his arms look short on tape and in pictures and that would help explain the 32 reps on the bench press. Miller's 3 cone and 20 yard shuttle are more impressive than his 40 time and his ability to bend is what makes him so dominant. This guy looks like he has straight line explosiveness and is physically strong which could make him a good special teams player, but he's nothing more than a good straight line athlete.
CBS has some of his stats for the year.
152 tackles, but only 12 tackles for loss (12 tackles for loss and a few sacks is not good if we're talking about an FCS player who wants to be drafted).

Jimmie Gilbert from Colorado would be my pick if we're looking for a developmental weakside linebacker behind Malcolm Smith (or rotational pass rusher on 3rd downs). He's still too thin at 6'5 234, but he's been putting on weight, has long arms (34 1/8"), and ran a decent 40 time (4.64) at his pro day. He had 10.5 sacks for Colorado this year. Not great in coverage and doesn't have great change of direction ability, but neither does Cole.

Dude doesn't play to that 40 speed, and he doesn't seem to have any idea what his keys/reads are. He's a drag down tackler. Just a guy. Maybe not even that.
