Bears FS Eddie Jackson was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 7.
The fourth-round rookie scooped up a Curtis Samuel fumble and returned it 75 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, and then picked off a tipped Cam Newton pass and ran that all the way back for a 76-yard score. Jackson was the Bears' offense in the win. Coincidentally, the big performance came exactly one year to the day of Jackson breaking his left leg at Alabama.

Those Alabama safeties are legit. Their corners though, are a different story.
