Key word 'She'

Mixon should have been a man and walked away. It's as simple as that. Instead he chose to make fun of a gay kid and follow him inside and keep saying stuff to the kid. He started it. She was defending her friend against Mixon.

Mixon is a punk. Plain and simple. Ray McDonald, Ahmad Brooks, Aldon Smith, Crabtree and the rape claims before the Super bowl.

We have had juat about enough drama for one team.

If we were talking about Mixon in the 7th or as an UDFA maybe then but not a premium pick. No chance.

It's funny she was defending her lesbian friend who are always screaming about equal rights. Then the "victim" gets some equal rights. Cause if another man grabs me by the neck and punching me he gets hit. I don't condone violence on woman but everyone has a breaking point. We found out where Joe Mixons is.

The racist rich white girl who has a nice long criminal background who was calling him the N word and spit on him. Context.

Context. Joe Mixon also ripped up a ticket in front of a parking attendant while saying "do you know who I am" and was evicted from his apartment.

That's all the dirt you could dig up on him. A #1 ranked HS player having an ego? Never. And how did he even get approved for an apartment without a good income.

No disagreement that Mixon is an arrogant ass. The details on this particular incident, though, are fuzzy and her behavior should not be rewarded.

Mixon will likely be drafted to some team, and honestly, 50/50 he finds trouble. Or, he might finally grow up and find better influences. He should go to a team with strong veteran leadership. That isn't the 49ers right now.
I'd bring him in with a late rd pick...based on if interviews went well.

I believe in 2nd chances, I don't believe in hitting a women ever!

But I don't think one incident when you're 19 yrs old should be what defines you your whole life.

To quote Daniel Tosh comedian genious. "It sounds like a challenge". What if you come home and your wife has already drowned 2 of your kids and she's about to dunk the third. Can you punch her then?

I dont know that this excuses violence.

She initiated the conflict. Punched him, grabbed his neck. She doesn't deserve a payout, IMO.

Who was talking about a payout?

I thought someone had mentioned it earlier. I might have miss-read. Likely my mistake.

I can't help but find this an interesting subject. The social dynamics, responses to behaviors, etc.

I would like to think Mixon is salvageable. But, he would need to want it. I think he needs a strong veteran mentor of sorts.
He was provoked and he didn't respond well. He shouldn't get crucified if it was an isolated incident. If his character checks out with the team, as it sounds like coaches are vouching for me, then he needs to be drafted.

Talent-wise, he's a top-50 player. As for value, he's a steal in the 3rd, IMO.

Oh, I have no doubt he is salvageable. He is way too young to be written off. But if he is drafted high, paid big bucks and treated like a star, will he realise that his conduct has been unacceptable?

It's just the assumption that's what's she's going for. She kept on trying to suppress the surveillance footage cause she knew she initiated the physical conflict. It happened in 2014 and waited until 2016 to file the charges. Odd timing to do that. Right before Mixon would be entering the NFL. The whole situation is messed up.

As many people have said no one should ever put their hands another person. Man woman black white it does not matter. If Amelia Molitor wouldn't have punched Joe Mixon he would not have hit her. Because she's a woman she shouldn't be held responsible for her own actions?

They're both guilty, but who the hell throws a punch when a small girl shoves you? He could easily have shoved her back and she would have backed off (or knocked her to the ground).

1 incident shouldn't define the rest of his life, but it does define who he is right now (a scumbag). 99.9% of college football players would not have reacted by throwing that kind of punch. Most would have just walked off.

Well in the eyes of the law all he did was self defense. She shoved and punched/smacked him. He did not stand over her like Ali. He walked away scared of what he did. Wether he was scared about his actions of hitting a woman or wether he was scared of losing his football career is the ultimate question that we won't ever know or accept the answer.
