Marcel dareus, muhammed wilkerson, ndamokung suh,fletcher cox, malik jackson, and the one that matches the almost perfectly is linval joseph.

All of them over 10 mil a year several close to 20.

I don't care for all the FA signings.

The players you chose aren't the issue - they are proven guys

But it is the amount of FA.

IMO, if we're going to build thru the draft and supplement thru FA then no more than 3 FA.

Also. they should be in the 22-26 age range and zero serious injuries.

We, IMO, won't be competing for the SB next season but developing the new culture and skill sets for a very long dynasty-like organization.

We haven't had significant FA signings in years, and plenty of contracts coming up this offseason. If you think we are hiring 3 or less free agents your nuts. We don't have that many draft picks. I like building through the draft but we are making up for lost time here. 80 million is a lot of space and we need to spend a good portion of it. If not and we stock with undrafted we are Balke all over again.

So...what if it's not Wolf and McDaniels? I'd love to see McDonough & Shanahan. The former's the most experienced candidate the Niners have interviewed. The latter's one of the brilliant offensive minds in the league. I'm not slighting Wolf or McDaniels, they're good, too. But, if Jed's really going to get the biggest bang, I'd go with the most experienced candidate for GM and Shanahan.

My problem with your trade is we get nothing this draft other than the #10 pick...I'd highly doubt our new GM would make that deal. His goal should be to get as many good players as possible, both in FA and the draft this year. Even so, signing 7 FA's is very ambitious...with Wolf as your GM, he's coming from GB where the m.o. is moderate FA transactions and maxing out the draft. McDonough, on the other hand is coming from 'Zona where they haven't been shy about signing FA's and he's earned a lofty reputation by having a real eye for college talent (comes from many years of scouting).

I really like most of your FA signings...again, though, 7 is a ton. Most important IMHO is NT...Brandon Williams would be my choice, as he's a rising star and would immediately give our DL a huge boost. The rest are good acquisitions...but I'd stop at Whittaker WRT RB's. I'd draft one much earlier than the 7th rd, though. Really like McNichols, Brian Hill, & De'Veon Smith.

Love the Smith-Schuster pick. Dude's a baller and fights for the ball, something none of our current WR's have shown much ability to do.

If the 'Bama TE isn't on the board, I'd take Clemson's Leggett in a heartbeat. Agree heartily with your synopsis of our TE corps.

I like the Mahomes pick...some would say why draft a QB who played in a spread offense. My answer to that is he's a gifted QB/athlete, has a terrific arm, is very mobile and seems to have a very high football IQ, some of which he got from HC Cliff Kingsbury.

Overall, very ambitious off-season program...I applaud your efforts. The approach could and probably would vary some depending on who becomes our GM. Again, I like McDonough because of his experience...very savvy guy who recognizes good talent. I like Shanahan because I think his offensive brilliance is just what we need.

We get their second rounder this year and a 5th or better next year, I can see how it could read that way but you see 2 2nd Rd picks in the draft. I honestly believe we could get more but I was low balling it. As far as Shannahan goes, I'm not sold on what he has done before Atlanta. McDanuels has done more with less. I'm open on the GM as long as they are on the same page. I said Wolf because it seems the most likely. I agree with the NT being priority 1 with Bouye 2nd if the draft goes the way I would like

As far as Mahomes goes, his mechanics are horrible but his arm strength, accuracy, field vision and reads are right on, dude makes all the big boy throws to the outside and gets the ball out quick and precise. Yeah he is playing in a spread but throws 40 to 50 times a game with very few int. He could blow up with some good coaching on his mechanics, if he had a top tier defense in college he would of been a much bigger deal. Over all I know I'm being very ambitious with free agency but the RBs aren't big signs, Harris is with us this year and I thought ran like the Tanzanian Devil when he got a chance this year, other than Hightower with the saints I didn't see a lot of low cost options to round out the backfield. I like Conner because of his size and leadership with Pitt, he lead that team and is a load in short yardage and a decent receiver. Fozzy showed some chops this year for Carolina and would accept a backup role. The draft is a fluid thing and I could do more research on RBs but I thought we had more pressing needs with Hyde in the lineup. If your talking large signings than I have to go with my top 4 being (in this order of priority) 1: Williams or Poe ( just pay them what it takes) 2: Bouye (the dude is just good and could be a steal) 3: Pryor (another steal if what I saw this year is true) 4: Dante Hightower (he has the leadership, nose for the play and instincts that could solidify a Navarro lead D for a descent 3 yr deal. If the new HC/GM see a better option than Ponder for a vet at QB than my hat's off to them and that is what they are there for. Honestly I am not impressed with anyone out there more than what he looked like in preseason considering his drive and even kealedness. He doesn't expect to start but has been a starter for a long period of time with some success. And again cheap and can teach.
