We're now picking #1...and the new GM would be in the driver's seat to trade down and get a bunch of picks.

However, I don't get your draft. I get Robinson's rated the no. 1 OT, but OT's not nearly the need WR is. You have a couple of WR's somewhere @ the 5th rd. We have the worst WR corps in the NFL...immediate help from some of the top receivers in college is desperately needed.

You drafted the edge guy from Stanford, but no interior DL. One of the biggest weaknesses of our defense has been the interior. They need a big, nasty NT and some much better depth behind Armstead & Buckner.

Like the Beckworth pick, but with Bowman & Ray Ray coming off injuries, I'd think some more depth at ILB would be a priority. Outside of Hodges, I can't see any of our other ILB's as worth keeping.

The Niners have CB's coming out their ears and you've drafted two more. The biggest weakness is at the S position...

Never heard of RB Dayes, but there are a ton of 'em with good numbers throughout this draft.

You don't draft a QB 'til the 7th rd...??? Sorry, man, I just don't understand your mock.

1. OT is near the bottom of our positions of need - I'd be more than happy rolling into next year with Staley and Brown
2. If there was an all-world tackle available, I could see the BPA argument but that's just not the case. We'd be reaching for a player that doesn't fit a major need.
3. No QB in the first three rounds is crazy. We cannot pull that crap again.

If we don't get a QB within our first 3 picks

Throw the GM or whoever is responsible off the bridge (GG or Bay Bridge, it doesn't matter which one)...

Good late round value in Taylor, Witherspoon and Dayes, but the first four rounds and QB are beyond horrible.

OT 2nd overall? I've seen most people saying there isn't a tackle worth taking in the entire first round.

Taking an OT who is a fringe 1st rounder at #2 when you have 2 good starters, no QB, terrible WRs, and an anemic pass rush is insane. Waiting until the 7th for a QB is absurd. IMO, there are much better options at edge than Solomon in the 2nd and even 3rd.

I know guys cam be needlessly harsh in this forum, but the guys killing this draft here are level-headed, objective contributors, and they're right. This is awful. Literally no new starters for a 2-14 team.

QB and PRusher are the 2 most important positions to fill in todays game but QB is still most important....take the QB(KIZER)

Wasting a number 2 pick on a position that's actually a strength for us and a guy with character issues, makes all the sense in the world lol. This draft is garbage if the new GM allowed the first 2 rounds to go without a quarterback they should be fired on the spot. No pressing needs covered but I'll say this you did a good Baalke impression.

You get very defensive about your mock. Not sure why you posted it. But leaving the most important position and probably our greatest need until the 7th round is dubious to say the least. Ponder was not able to get on the field this year yet you have him starting next year. That could be defended, maybe, if we were developing a qbotf but a 7th round pick is highly improbable.

The 1st rounder on a tackle? I dont think so. A qb or pass rusher probably. Failing that a receiver. Either take the best player or satisfy the greatest need. Your mock does neither.
