Because?

Val has a proven scientific theory on QBs and having dumb names. It's science

He had some great accuracy on a number of his throws. However, once Hansen was blanketed, he looked very average.

Both picks against ASU in the 4th quarter were atrocious.

I think the Air Raid, in general, is definitely a detriment to a prospect. Its just a totally different offense than what they will use in the NFL and I feel like the QBs don't develop a great understanding of routes and timing. Their numbers are so inflated that fans overestimate them. Throwing 400 yards in an air raid with 60 attempts isn't the same as throwing 400 yards in a pro-system with 35 attempts.

That Hansen dude on the other hand looked legit.

Agree with all of this.

This board is so desperate for a QB they project characteristics on QBs they WANT to be true, but are not based in reality... Goff being a primary example.

I admit I'm intrigued by Webb. When he's not under pressure, he looks good. But that's not good enough for him to be a legit NFL prospect. He went full potato in that 4th quarter. There's nothing in there I would want to be a part of my team. It's early with him so maybe Webb, unlike Goff, will actually show up against top competition as the year goes on.

And yeah, Hansen looked great. Would love to see how it tests at the combine.

Why because you said so? You may have a different opinion on Goff, that doesn't make you right or others wrong. Until Goff actually starts playing and has had some time to show what he can do, nobody really knows what he is capable of at the NFL level.
I'm not positive but this kid got beat out by Mahomes right..? which is basically why he transferred..? If hes a great QB why couldn't he beat out a younger player for his job..? and I read someone say hes a great QB when not under pressure..lol a lot of QBs are great in practice..Basically

Yep, Webb got injured and Mahomes took over. Webb was never able to beat Mahomes to take it back.

Mahomes is a lot more athletic, with scrambling ability and a stronger arm. To make a NFL comparison, Mahomes is like Kap if Kap played in an air raid system instead of option system. Webb is like .....Case Keenum but with better size and strength.

Dudes got pretty good arm talent. I came in thinking he would be terrible but I was impressed. Not the best decision maker but I'd easily spend a 3 or 4th on him. He'd need to sit for a while work on lower body mechanics and how to read defenses but you can't teach that arm.
Was by far the best QB at the senior bowl. Really intriguing prospect. I'd much rather take him in the late second or third then Trubs in the first.

We have to many needs to take 2 QB's that high

Meh. He's got all the measurables people drool all over but lacks the accuracy. Dude played in an Air Raid offense where guys consistently complete over 65% of their passes and he was around 62% with most of his throws being very short ones. I also thought both Dobbs and Peterman performed better than him throughout the week.

Oh yeah.

NFL Comparison Brock Osweiler

Might be a good late round value pick. Looked like he was tripping over his feet in the senior bowl, but I guess those were some of his first times taking snaps under center so that's expected.

Yeah no..not touching air raid qbs in the first 4 rds. I'll take Peterman over him any day if we are talking 2nd tier qbs.

There's just something about him....

I know that ESPN analysts Bill Polian and (damn, I forget who) keep saying something about players who do well in the Senior Bowl always seem to do well in the NFL, and players who don't do well usually fail. Webb did very well in the Senior Bowl.
Would like to see how he does at the combine for sure
