Geek's Final x3 Draft

GEEK · 2016-04-28T11:16:23-07:00

NFL Draft - Goff (LA), Wentz (PHI), Ramsey (SD), Elliott (DAL), Stanley (JAX), Tunsil (BAL)... R1: DeForest Buckner - DT/DE - Oregon | Baalke wants to win in the trenches and with Dial and Armstead both locked up for 3+ years, Buckner will complete the overhaul of our DL. BPA. 49ers trade down 2nd and 5th (via DAL) for Titans (via LA) 2nd and 3rd round (via LA) picks. R2: Dak Prescott - QB - Miss St (via TEN thru LA) | This could be a Smith-Kap situation all over again...except we are lacking true production at the unit. Gabbert starts in year 1 while Prescott learns on the sidelines with some gadget plays sprinkled in Kelly's playbook. 49ers trade Colin Kaepernick and 4th round pick for Broncos 2nd round pick. R2: Christian Westerman - OG/C - Arizona St (via DEN) | Immediate starter at RG perfect for Kelly's offensive scheme. Strong and athletic, Westerman can hold his own and get to the 2nd level. R3: Xavien Howard - CB - Baylor | Tall corner with good speed and playmaking ability. Howard comes on the field in our 4-2-5 scheme. R3: Kenyan Drake - RB - Alabama (via LA) | 3rd down back and speedster that can play RB, WR, KR, PR, and ST duties. Perfect addition to the Hyde, Davis, and Draughn trio. R4: Malcom Mitchell - WR - Georgia (comp) | Injury concerns drop him here, but he's a very talented and fast wide out that can do damage in our offensive scheme. 49ers trade 5th for Jaguars Luke Joeckel - OT. 1st round bust might flourish in our scheme. Good franchise rapport between the two from the Gabbert trade. R5: Scooby Wright - LB - Arizona (comp) | 4.9 40 time with an undersized frame is going to drop you in the 5/6th round. Ultra productive and solid 3-4 ILB fit in our scheme. R6: Vernon Adams Jr - QB - Oregon (via SD) | Let Adams and Lewis duke it out for the #3 spot. R6: Nile Lawrence-Stample - NT/DT - Florida St | NT prospect that provides depth until Williams/Dorsey return to the lineup. R6: Corey Littleton - DE/LB - Washington (comp) | Competes with Lemonier for a rotational pass rush/ST contributor spot on our roster. PS guy in his first year. R6: Mitch Matthews - TE/WR - BYU (comp) | Projects to be a hybrid WR/TE in the NFL. Most likely PS material in his 1st year. Depth Chart: QB: Gabbert/Prescott*/Adams* RB: Hyde/Davis/Drake*/Draughn TE: McDonald/Celek/Bell WR: Smith/Ellington WR: Patton/Mitchell* WR: Smelter*/Rogers (PS - Matthews*) LT: Staley LG: Beadles*/Thomas C: Kilgore/Martin (PS - Siberman) RG: Westerman*/Tiller RT: Joeckel*/Brown LE: Buckner*/Jerod-Eddie NT: Dial/Purcell (PS - Stample*) RE: Armstead/Ramsey (PUP - Williams, Dorsey) OLB: Brooks/Harold/Lemonier (PS - Littleton*) ILB: Bowman/Skov ILB: Hodges/Wright* OLB: Lynch/Carradine CB: Johnson/Reaser CB: Ward/Acker FS: Reid/McCray SS: Bethea/Tartt CB: Brock/Howard* ST: Dawson, Pinion, Nelson

I'd pass on Joeckel, but otherwise I would be more than good with this draft.

Good mock! And I would like the Joeckel trade, esp. For a fifth round pick

i like the idea of trading for Joeckel. I think he would be better used in a ZBS
