Preferred draft day scenario?

Option 2 is pointless, if both Goff and Wentz are gone by No.7 then there is no QB to draft as far as I am concerned.

The only question is whether the 9ers allow the Browns to have their pick and just take the leftover guy or they want to go all the way to No.1 to be the boss.

If the 9ers are OK with Wentz too (assuming Goff is the preferred guy) then it will be enough to move up to No.3 overall.

Taken any QB in tha 1st round is a mistake ...This whole draft is Offensively weak no real clear cut #1 QB no clear cut #1 WR ...This draft should be all about tha defense 1st round D-line(DeForest Buckner ), MLB( Myles Jack still not sold on spending a top 7 pick on a MLB)or trade back and get a CB... 2nd round D-line(Vernon Butler if we didn't get Buckner) or take a WR(Josh Doctson or Michael Thomas)or best O-lineman available...

I picked multiple trade downs. The 49ers need a lot of help and can get respectable quickly if they are drafting 3-4 2nd rounders and a late first. Gabbert will do well enough, and maybe very well in Chip's offense

I love leftovers. Either of those QB's will be better than our current situation.

Trade up to 4-6 and pick Goff

Ideally I'd say stay at 7, we should target 3 positions of need ( O line, OLB - Pass rushers , BPA 5rd-6th) considering other positions. We have 12 picks which is more than enough to strengthen O line and pass rushers while adding depth to other areas, maybe Wr , MLB or DE. I would like to see 2 new starters on O line and 3 on our front 7 following draft. I really feel the only thing our defense is missing are pass rushers OLB and rush ends. I actually like the back end as is but, they are the burden bearers of our terrible pass rush. There are quite a few Tackles and Guards that we can grab no later than the 4th round and I think we have 6 picks in 4 rounds. We can easily stay put at 7 or move back for additional picks, to me if we don't go hard at O line and Pass rushers during round 1 through 4 then we are wasting picks while Adding Dak Prescott would be intriguing in the later rounds.

No way in hell do they move up to #1 so we can just throw that out of there lol...if Goff or wentz are there at 7 I think it makes sense to draft one of them.

Moving up to say the 4th or 5th pick wouldn't require SF throwing away a ton of top picks and future picks. let some other team throw away their future for one of these Qbs (to move up to one).

Let me give you devils advocate. The Niners cannot score points, why they have a weak offense. This top 3 picks would give whatever qb is with Niners room to breath.

Pick 7- Ezekial Elliot- Good RB's make OL jobs and qbs job easier. Elliot Hyde punch could be good.

Pick 38- My draft crush hunter Henry TE- Chip Kelly uses multiple TE sets. The Niners need a stud TE in red zone.

Pick 3rd round, Dominick Jackson, RT Alabame

4th round pick- Vernon Adams QB Oregon

In a perfect scenario I think our first three picks are:

7. Jared Goff QB Cal
37. Joshua Garnett G Stanford
68. Braxton Miller WR Ohio St - probably would have to trade into the late second for him but we're talking ideal scenario right?

I know, we're kind of neglecting the defense here, but hear me out. I am 95% sure we will not be making the playoffs this year. If we take a QB with our first pick, let's give him every opportunity to succeed. Our defense will have a tough time, but it will likely have a tough time anyway. Give Goff a couple of young players to develop with and protect him. The starting offense below is not going to set the world on fire, but it's not bad either.

WR1: Torrey Smith
WR2: DeAndre Smelter
Slot: Braxton Miller*
TE: Garrett Celek
LT: Joe Staley
LG: Zaine Beadles

If they stay at 7 and Goff or Wentz are there I don't think they will pull the trigger. IMO opinion there are three options, move up and take one of the QB's or wait and take a QB later in the draft, lastly trade down.

Hate it in so many ways!

Elliot is the best RB in the draft but Hyde and Ellior are basically the same type of RB...both are workhorses that can't split carries, both need 15-20 touches a game to wear teams down. Also your not gonna draft a player (at 7) especially a RB to split carries not happening.

Chip runs more 3 & 4 WR sets that two TE sets. We drafted TWO TEs last season and resigned Celek. once again we aren't drafting someone that high to play in limited snaps. Hunter is so over rated because this draft is so weak at TEs.

Jackson doesn't have the length to play RT nor does he have the athleticism to play OG in chip's system....dude is ranked as a UDFA in CBS rankings and you think he's worth a 3rd?

Adams while a competitor simply doesn't have the size to play QB at the next level. He has to scramble to find throwing lanes and couldn't even hold up a full season at OU.

People try to compare him to Wilson but Wilson is more compact (has like 10lbs on Adams) and his hand size is much bigger than Adams. I have no issue bringing him in as a UDFA or possibly spending a 6th on him, but hell no to a 4th round pick

I'd be pretty bummed if they didn't take advantage on getting on of these stud DLs within the top 100 picks. I like Miller but I'd rather grab someone like Chris Jones, Vernon Butler,Bullard,or Kaufusi then get someone like Carroo in the 4th.

I like Carroo's game a lot he reminds me of Golden Tate. He doesn't drop balls, is tough as nail up the middle, can play inside and out, blocks like a boss etc. It also looks like Chips is a big fan of him.
