Mississippi State DL Chris Jones was arrested on Wednesday after being pulled over for speeding and driving with a suspended license.
Bond was met at $922, so Jones was released after his arrest at 2:22 pm. The arrest took place near Mississippi State's campus. On the spectrum of off-field incidents, this one seems very minor. Jones is widely viewed as a first or second round prospect in an outstanding defensive line class. His freshman and junior seasons are far superior to his sophomore tape.

Pro Football Focus sees Mississippi State DL Chris Jones as a top-15 draft talent.
"For a guy with the "questionable motor" label, he was awfully productive in our grading system," Jeff Dooley wrote. The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder had PFF's No. 1 pass-rushing grade among DTs last year, with 46 pressures and three sacks on 284 pass-rushing snaps. "He will be viewed as raw by some, but his combination of length and power bear some resemblance to the Jets' Muhammad Wilkerson – which is why he's a potential fit either at 4-3 defensive tackle 3-4 defensive end," Dooley wrote, calling Jones the most underrated prospect in the draft this side of Corey Coleman.
Would rather have Butler but if he's gone Jones needs to be the pick!
