Trade Up for Two First Round Picks?

Browse 49ers books and videos
This is a really good year to do it. When you are picking very high in the 2nd round it's not as expensive to trade back up into the late first. If they are going to take advantage of it this year would be a good time to do it.

Vernon was really good for awhile there. Manny was just a guy for the most part. He has carved out a 10 year career for himself tho.

Yah people like to hate on VD but for a 4-5 year run he was one of best TEs in the league and is the all time leader in TDs and Receptions for TEs in team history. Lawson was a good player but he just couldnt rush the passer and that is vital for a 3-4 OLB.

If by some miracle Spence falls to 17. It's also not likely buckner makes it to 7 but not far fetched by any means. But that would be f**king big
As much as I would love to pick up Spence and Buckner or Spence and J. Smith combo I think this roster has way to many glaring holes. From TE to Guard to Cornerback to WR to D-Line just all around this team needs upgrades. The only positions we are pretty comfortable at is Safety and Punter.
Love that then throw in scooby write at ILB and Harrison from the jets at NT that would give us the tallest dline in the league.
Been watching buckner and wrights highlights write not fast but he's always in the right spot and is relentless he could be a better Borland.

He's definitely more quick than fast. Shoots his gap and closes very well but his angles need some work along with Reid. And his sideline speed was decent pre injury.

that would good and i am defensive minded guy so i like the idea. I have been giving it some thought though and we are now an offensive team. We should probably put all of our focus on making the offense as dangerous as possible first
I agree with spending multiple pick on offense. Treadwell and a nice O linemen in the bottom of the 1st would be nice. With the defenses in the west, they need to address the offense.

Is anyone apposed to taking 2 receivers high in the draft? This class is loaded at WR.

Willis and Staley.

No...we need defense to keep up with the offense and I don't see a ton of defensive FAs coming here because of chip. Go offensive heavy in FA and defensive heavy in the draft.
Treadwell at 7 goff falls to 15

People forget that Manny Lawson was really good at covering tight ends because of his height and reach. He was a solid run defender, but didn't get much of a pass rush, which is probably why people don't have a favorable memory of him.

Not really that bad.

Just like Julian Peterson + Ahmed Plummer.

One busts the other flourishes.

Manny is still doing that in Buffalo. Rex Ryan has him dropping back in coverage.
