Goff would most likely sit and learn for a year or be eased in during blowouts.

As in Steve Bono time old days blowouts? That'd be nice.
Or like we're 30 points down and Gabbert is a dog let's see what this kid can do blowouts?

Don't love the free agent acquisitions. We're not going to be good next year so I don't see the point of bringing in 30 year olds which will only hurt our draft position next year.

Would rather go after younger guys like Cordy Glenn, Alshon Jeffery, Von Miller, and Mohammed Wilkerson although Miller and Wilkerson are not likely to be unrestricted.

The young guys are more likely to command much higher payouts, I feel Baalke has with the exception of wide outs gone old on nearly all F/A I can think of. This may be a cap space saving move but I went with the notion that 30+ year olds can bring leadership and skills at a lower cost and with less leverage/drama akin to Boldin. We save the big contracts for our own guys, bring in guys with a love for the game that can bridge the gap in the meantime.

Thats a good idea but we have to go after 1 proven cornerstone player that can be an instant impact.. Jeffery im not so sold on.. He stay too injured for me.. Guy doesnt take care of his body to keep from getting injured.. Wilkerson i think is the guy we have to go all in for. its a MUST

So he'd play every game
I don't think you're getting Doctson in the 2nd round and I don't think Forte makes sense(cost vs need). Otherwise I'd be as happy as I could without having Tomsula fired as well and actually getting something for Kap in a trade.

I'm hearing Wilkerson will be looking for a Suh like contract in which case as much as I'd love to have him here...its just too much money for him.

Its okay we aren't expecting him to win us a sb anytime soon. This team sucks.

Technically there's no way to know whether he'd be year 1 ready or not. Smart money is on not because of the system he's coming from but he seems like a smart kid. For all we know he could study like crazy and pick things up by middle of training camp.

Smart money however would be for him to sit and learn for a year and battle for the job next camp.

My draft mock had us getting Hunter Henry in the 2nd and re-signing Draughn. However, I wanted to add some flare and as long as Doctson is still projected 2nd round, I figured sure why not throw in Forte as well. I may do that next mock if doctson moves out of our 2nd round pick range.
