True that. Only from my vantage point right now. I see Falk as a late 1st rounder, early 2nd rounder but if he has a junior season like Goff did I can see him having a meteoric rise and being in the Top 5 discussion next draft.
Yeah I could definitely see him rising if he has another great season. Hoping Mike Leach gives him more control of the offense this season. Think it'd help his development also. Which teams would love. He's also working with the same talent caliber team as Goff had. WSU isn't pulling in 5* every season at all. He also lead WSU to a better record than Goff did at Cal this season, including wins @Oregon, @Arizona, @UCLA, and marched them down for what would have been a game winning FG versus Stanford (kicker missed).

I also wouldn't be against Baalke trading our 2nd this year for a future 1st next. Just to have ammunition in next year's draft. We are clearly in a rebuild mode. If we exceed expectations and win to much, we have 2 1sts to which to move up with. If we completely bottom out this season and end up with a top 5 pick, than we'd be in a position to grab a QB and still have a chance at another great player too.
Another air raid qb

I actually like him but I do worry about concussions with him.
You know I'm in on this. Especially after that article you showed me about him being crazy into sports science.
I don't expect this to be much of a thread because he probably won't even declare for the 2017 draft.

He looks like an ok prospect. Doesn't exactly stand out. Maybe a 2nd-round pick if he declares early.

Sorry about the repeat thread. Moved to this tread:

This 2017 class of QBs already looks so much better than what Goff/Wentz/Lynch could offer. Glad we got Buckner over either of those QBs.

I see a much weaker QB class with one true top prospect in Watson, a promising prospect in Falk, a severly overrated one in Kayaa and beyond that, a bunch of gimmick players and other assorted rubbish.

Ron Jaworski called it a historically bad QB class. John Clayton also mentioned that the next few QB classes were pretty unspectacular with few top prospects.

I would take Goff and Wentz over anyone but Watson next year. Moving up became prohibitively expensive so the 49ers did the right thing standing pat, they need all the picks they can get but I absolutely would have loved to see them get Goff at #7 and provide some clarity to the QB situation.

As it is they have a bust on a one year contract, a disgruntled former starter that wants to be anywhere else and a late 6th round project. The QB situation is depressingly mediocre, until they clear that up this team isnt going anywhere.

I'm not sure... I think most TV evaluators do very superficial analyses of future QB classes.

I think Falk is easy to compare with Goff: same offense, similar frame, good accuracy and decision-making, low talent around him, sports geek.

I think Watson wrecks Wentz as a prospect. Better athleticism, experience, and accuracy. Higher talent to compete against.

I'd take Kelly over Lynch all day, any day, even with the character concerns. I don't know if Lynch has a real chance to make it as a QB. Every time I see him in front of a microphone, I question his confidence. Kelly HAS TO stay out of trouble for another year.

Kayaa. Dude's a statue, but someone won't care.

After the top 3, I don't think I'd feel good about our chances to improve the position over what we currently have, but I felt the same way about my top 4 this year (Goff/Wentz/Prescott/Driskel), and I'm sure someone will improve and move up as the 2016 season unfolds (Like Goff, Prescott, and Driskel).
