I have never wanted Fournette but I must admit knowing he wants to come here gets me behind him a little more.

I don't want him at 2 but love for the franchise is important to me.

Niners may have to draft him. I remember Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers saying they were both niner fans growing up and the niners passed on them. How's that working out these days?
In all seriousness I would consider him. If not him probably a cornerback, safety or receiver if they don't trade back.

In all seriousness, we have to consider him. If we are talking about a pick as high as 2, I have to say again, after Myles Garrett, there is no one and I do mean no one who can assert that kind of immediate max impact on the football field for us.

I'm praying for a trade back but if we stay at 2 this is my guy. I know it goes against the current draft value of RB's but Fournette is a generational talent.

Fournette is a stud. I just can't help but feel like there is FAR better value in the 3rd or 4th round at RB given Shanahan's offensive system.

I feel like all the alleged interest in Fournette at #2 is geared toward developing value in the pick so we can trade down.

It's silly to think they'd even consider him at 2. The shannhans have been known since forever as the guys who turn anyone into 1000 yard rushers. Shanny even voted to pick Mario williams over Reggie Bush when he worked on the offensive side for the Texans. He could have voted Reggie bush when they needed a rb and he could have used the help to elevate his career but went Mario because it was better for the team.

So we're supposed to believe that guy picks an rb at 2 to start his era as niners coach?

Agreed. I just don't see the value when guys like Hunt and Kamara will be available in rounds 3-4.

I like the thought of Fournette cause he'd be safe,Hyde on a contract year, playing in the NFC west...
