This was actually my mock 3.0 already posted.

That's be a great one as well.
Sounds good but what's in it for baltimore. They might have a riot over it.

I wouldn't mind the trade but not for them....I don't think either are worth a 1st IMO

I respect your opinion, but disagree with the assesment. Davis is a top 3 DT in my rankings and Anthony the top ILB. This moves refortifies the front 7 in a year that we lost 3-4 starters from that group. Who would you target?
My gut feeling tells me that Baalke wants a CB with his first pick. Trading back into the mid 20s gives us a shot of Byron Jones, Kevin Johnson, perhaps Peters. Just makes too much sense...

While I think they're both fine players, I don't see Davis as a top 3 DT or Anthony as the top ILB....I don't really think any of the top ILBs are anything great in this draft to be honest.

Would Davis start over Dorsey or Williams? We need someone to take over Smith's spot and I like Anderson in the 2nd or Hardison in the 3rd.

I'm not sure who I'd take at the end of 1st...we'd have to see who's still on the board. I bet there would be some better talent than Davis/Anthony in the 1st (I doubt Baalke would trade back up for Anthony anyway).

You never know who's gonna start until you put them in pads. Davis has the potential to start right away, and is flexible enough to play any spot along any defensive front.

Anthony has been underrated during this whole process and is the top ILB for a lot people. Just look at how many WZERS mock him in their second round. That's usually a sign that a player has an arrow pointing up. Would not be surprised if he's the first ILB off the board in the late first.

So you're telling me you've been doing all these mocks and studying and don't have ANY prospects for the late 1st?

Seems unlikely that would happen. I think it would be more likely we trade down from 15 to the 20s and pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd (and change) we would probably keep it instead of turning 2 2's or a 2 and 3 into an extra 1.

How would we keep our 15th pick if we had two 1st?

Sorry wasn't thinking straight on that one.

True true....I don't know if his flexible enough to play DE but like you said we won't know until they throw the pads on.

I feel they are both reaches in the 1st though....I'd prefer brown,DGB, Johnson, jones, strong, Dawson over them
Trading back is almost always a good move, however, one thing that is constantly ignored is you need to have a partner willing to do business. Essentially you need to find a team with a specific need who needs to get into your draft spot, or you need to find a stupid team. I feel like teams have to be getting wise to the data that supports more draft picks is better, especially after the Julio Jones, RG3 situations. It's not as easy as just saying "trade down"
