Some zoner would hang himself if Baalke picks an injured player in the 1st lol Way too high for a RB in todays NFL and an injured one at that especially with the depth at the position. I'd be down for Ifo though.

I understand why some would disagree about drafting injured players but in reality it's likely.
At least check out the vid on Vaughters I was excited about the find!

I think we'll see Baalke considerably less likely to draft players this year, then red-shirt them. Or pick many (if any) players coming off fairly serious injuries that might limit their potential to contribute much their rookie season. I think that's particularly true of his 1st rounder. He just doesn't have the luxury of all those vets he had in the past. So, I think his primary focus will be restocking a considerable amount of quality depth, maybe even a picking a couple of starters.
While I agree he'll draft a RB (or is likely to), I don't see that in the 1st rd. I'd think DL, CB, pass rusher, or even OL is more likely. I also think he's apt to trade down if he gets the right offer. He's used to double-digit picks and by trading down in the 1st, he'd have 10.
Conley in the 2nd rd seems like a stretch...I think he's more likely to go in the 3rd rd. I get his speed, size & vertical reach...they're impressive. But his receiving numbers aren't, really. I get GA's a run-first team, but even so, in the NFL it's about production. I see Baalke more likely to pick a Devin Smith, Stephon Diggs, Vince Mayle or Tre McBride. He could surprise us all and gamble on DGB, but I'm not expecting that. Taking a WR in the 3rd rd or so seems "Baalke-esque". In 2nd rd, it wouldn't surprise me to see him pick TE Clive Walford. He's one of the best playmaking TE's in the country and with Vernon entering his contract season, it'd make a lot of sense. ILB is another possibility...and there it'd be Stephone Anthony.
Olomu could happen...but he's another guy coming off a severe knee injury. I'm thinking Baalke would look for a bigger CB...to handle the big WR's in the NFC West. Maybe someone like Alex Carter, for example.
Poutasi has potential...most likely at OG in the NFL. What I don't see is an OT who can play that position in the pros...say a Donovan Smith. Even though they signed Pears, he's not a long-term swing OT solution.
McCarthy's had weight-control issues, which indicates a lack of discipline. I'd think Baalke would draft a DL much higher than the 5th rd, considering even if Justin Smith plays in 2015, he'll likely have the fewest snaps since becoming a Niner. I'm hoping he goes DL in the 1st and takes either Eddie Goldman or Malcolm Brown.
Similarly, I expect Baalke to draft an ILB well before the 6th rd.

Corva9erFan ~
Thanks for the great feed back; Yea I knew having DL so low would bring questions. I don't think Justin is retiring at this point being so close to the draft and baalke already said if he does, it won't affect the draft.
I'm not real big on the 3-4 DL class this yr and I see McCarthy having high potential at a low risk. Yea he's had weight issues I think he did that on purpose to gain an advantage at the college level. Guy is still only a kid at 20 he hasn't even grown into his strength.
I also have my ILB at round 4

What makes you think Conley is worth a 2nd round pick? Yes please sign me up for a RB coming off a ACL. This is a awful draft sorry man...

What makes DGB a 1st to a 2nd?? His size? Conley is 6'2 with a 45 vertical. Conley has a higher ceiling than DGB without the baggage.
I don't have much of an argument for Gurleys ACL but that's the only argument against him. I look at him and it makes sense; Baalke isn't afraid of ACLs, picks BPA, and he'd fit like a glove.

I can dig it. Gurley to the Niners would be a shocker, but not necessarily a bad move. He had a pedestrian line at Georgia, and still was highly productive.
Conley is not all that different than Breshad Perriman. Crazy speed/size combo with underwhelming production. 2nd round might be a bit early, but if you believe in his game, then why not?
The CB from Oregon is a nice grab too. Might end up being the best corner in draft. You just have to take a leap of faith on the medical.
The rest is good too. And I love me some Terry Williams in the 7th. Driving the bandwagon on him.
