April Mock Draft

I could live with that...I would rather take Lockett if you were waiting until the 3rd though.

Good mock!
I could live with this too. But the third DB in the first round puts the team in a spot down the road when the rookie contracts end.
hate the conley pick. the fool is just a athletic freak. I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him but not in the 3rd round. Way better and more proven WRs will be available at that slot

Watch him play. He's actually pretty skilled and very talented. The only real dings against him are his production in a run-first offense (still lead the team for two years) and the strength of this WR class. Dud runs good routes, tracks the ball very well, runs after the catch with suddenness and speed, and is a natural hands catcher. I like the pick. I like the whole draft, except Peters worries me. He just seems like such an a$$hole. I'd be SOOOOOO happy if we could get Smelter in the 7th, but I think he goes in the 4th or 5th.

Fair point. Gurley?
Definitely not a fan of Chris Conley that high, he didn't do much at UGA, and only is being viewed so high due to his combine and his 40 time, I rather not waste a 3rd rd pick on a potential project WR.
Id rather have Darren Waller than Conley
One concern I have is waiting on drafting an ILB. I have struggled with that though. IMO our biggest needs are CB, ILB DL, and OL.... Not far behind is RB and WR. We only have so many picks in the first three rounds... You give up one for another I guess.

I would also adjust the Conley pick. I like home later in the draft of he drops.

Really? Why? I actually really like Conley's skill set. I think the only thing holding him back was the number of passes they threw.

Like I mentioned, also like Dezmin Lewis around the 3/4 Rd. Other WRs to throw in there - McBride, Diggs, Waller. I'd be fine with any of those other 4.
Like Wrathman44 said, just like Conley's skill set and believe he has a ton of upside.

Thought about dropping Conley to 4th Rd., just didn't feel he would make it to bottom of 4th. Same goes with Anderson, ideally would love to take Anderson with the 3rd Rd. pick, but have a feeling Bears take him in top of 3rd or Cowboys nab him in bottom of 2nd. If I knew Anderson would fall to pick #79 in the 3rd, then I would take an ILB with the 2nd (Perryman, Anthony or Dawson), just want Anderson more so than those 3 LBs. To me there isn't as huge a drop-off from the 2nd Rd ILBs to Ryan in the bottom of 4th as there is from Anderson to the next tier of 3-4 DE.

Waller and DGB on the team could create a lot of red zone fun.

I'd like to see the Niners go playmaker in 2 of their first 3 picks. Yes, they lost Willis but I'd go with S. Anthony in the 2nd (maybe trading their 5th round selection). DGB (trading down for an extra pick) or Parker in the first. Niners need another RB somewhere that weekend. Gurley in the first would be okay with me.

I revised my April mock, basically taking Anthony in the 2nd, dropping Anderson & Conley down a Rd. and removing Ryan.
My final mock, Draft will be on us soon, will be interesting to observe what Baalke does, for I'm sure there will be some trade downs & maybe a trade up.
