You said that already. So, here's a question. What would you do with the #15 pick? Pick or trade back for more choices? If the Niners keep the pick, who would you choose? Would love to hear what you have to say.

You would ... seriously?

With the imminent signing of Smith, we don't need to be taking a receiver early in the draft. I agree, DL, LB, OG and RB needs much more attention.

Correct on all counts.
I think we have the freedom to take the BPA if we re-sign one of Culliver or Cox.

QB: Kaepernick
RB: Hyde/Hunter/Tanner
FB: Miller/Millard
TE: Davis/McDonald/Carrier
WR: Boldin/Patton
WR: T. Smith/Ellington
LT: Staley
LG: Thomas/Looney
C: Kilgore/Martin
RG: Boone
RT: A. Davis

DE: Dockett/Dial
NT: Dorsey/Williams
DE: Carradine/Jerod-Eddie
OLB: A. Smith
ILB: Bowman/Wilhoite
ILB: Borland/Moody
OLB: Lynch/Lemonier
CB: Culliver or Cox/Acker
CB: Brock/Johnson/Reaser
FS: Reid/Ward
SS: Bethea/Dahl
My mid round WR man crush is on Justin Hardy.
If one of the top 2 CBs are on the board, I think we pick CB in the first round.

Corner should be number one priority
As always, we'll take the best available on the board
I think it is over now with the Torrey Smith signing. How many deep threats do you want? How many wide receivers do you want? We just got what everybody says we need. A deep threat wide receiver. He is also proven in the NFL and better than a draft pick.

Or the one with an ACL injury
Last year they signed Bethea and basically drafted Ward safety/slot corner.

Niners could still go wr

The CB depth is a joke. Might want to include in your analysis.
We going BPA so who knows what position that will be.
SD, agree. In fact, I've called for DL long before now. Signing Dockett was a good step, because if JS retires, he becomes the DL leader. But, he's no spring chicken either, but should buy some time before the younger guys to step up (i.e. Carradine, possibly TJE, Dial, etc.). That said, getting one of the DL studs is job #1. So is another pass rusher, should Aldon fall again (hope he doesn't, but it's possible). Not worried about Willis' retirement...yes, he was a vocal leader of the defense, but that now has to shift to Bowman. Borland's a very capable replacement and there's Wilhoite and Moody for rotation. For all the chatter WRT Brooks, he's still a Niner, and I have absolutely no problem with that.

Simpson & Torrey Smith more than make up for Crabtree's departure, which validates what you said...don't expect a WR early, there are other more pressing needs. Now that Seattle's got Jimmy Graham, getting a big CB like Browner would be an astute signing. I'm hoping Baalke can sign Cox...one, because he's become a fine all around DB and two, he'll be considerably less expensive than Culliver. Not worried about Hyde taking over for Gore, especially w/vet Hunter back healthy. If I'm Baalke I draft a very good RB...much cheaper than a FA and a lot less miles on them. As for Iupati leaving, I've already penciled in Brandon Thomas to take LG. He's the best reserve OL we have and after being the starting LT at Clemson, LG shouldn't be much of a problem for him.

Some work to be done yet, but I like the moves Baalke's made so far. He addressed some needs.
