I disagree that this is a case of fans overreacting to combine numbers in Beasley's case. Beasley is widely viewed as a top 10 prospect by draft experts as well as casual fans because he put on a lot of weight and maintained his quickness. On the field, he's a monster pass rusher and the only question with him was his size and strength which he answered. Every mock draft I've seen recently has the four pass rushers gone by the time we pick. It's possible that either Parker or Waynes make it to 15. I would be surprised if Landon Collins goes top 15 and this equally surprised if 3 offensive lineman go before our pick in a class this weak.
I'm in agreement with a few others that there is a dropoff in talent after the top 10 players, so I would be surprised to see even one of them available at 15. It won't be White or Cooper given the number of teams that need WR's who pick before us, but Shelton could be there at 15.
We will see. It is very rare to go 3, let alone 4 deep at a position, and especially multiple positions before 15. It does happen, but very rarely. Given that 2 QBs are all but a sure thing to be gone, I'll be surprised if someone from the Parker, Waynes, (pick a DL/Pass rusher), group doesn't fall. Plus, someone "everyone" has as a pick 15-20 or later guy, will go in the top 15. It always happens. Someone falls in love with a guy and drafts them half a round earlier than where the pundits project.
I agree the Beasley should be a top 10 talent, I like him a lot. But pre-combine, some were saying he was a reach at 15. Similarly, at one point people would have been thrilled to see Dupree available at 15, now he's considered by many a late round pick. It comes and goes for mocks. The real draft always has surprises, so at least a couple "top 10" guys are likely to be there at 15.
