I'm not trying to apply for a position where it is vital to see how high I can actually reach. In the NFL, shoulder height for WR's should hold more value than to the top of the head. A player who has arms 1 inch longer than another player but has a shoulder height of 2 inches shorter makes a difference. The player with 1-inch shorter arms actually has a taller vertical reach.

For QB's, they should measure the height of the QB's eye-sight rather than the top of his head.

Never really saw this guy move around before. At 302 his athleticism, quickness and agility are ridiculous. Moving like a cat at that size is some crazy awesome s**t.

i agree with 49errider though that he would be bigger beast on our team. I think Tomsula would cream his pants if we got leonard in a SF uniform

I want the 49ers to draft Leonard Williams just for the awesome fro he has!

Byron Jones is another guy I'd compare to Culliver physically.

The thing is that they do measure shoulder height and more, in fact they even measure the size of the player vertebrae to see how they will hold up long term in the NFL. That is what the in depth physical is for.

Just because the media becomes obsessed with height, speed etc doesn't mean that teams aren't looking well beyond that.

Your right, Carradine will get one of those spots, but Dial I don't think is starter material.

Four starters: Dorsey, Williams, Tank and J. Smith.

J. Smith is no sure thing to return and Tank doesn't have much experience. Dial has looked like a quality player in limited action. Dorsey and WIlliams have both struggled with injury in recent years.

So Tank doesn't have much experience, so that's your argument for drafting a guy with no experience? Tank was drafted in the 2nd round (because of injury) and was widely seen as 1st round. talent. J. Smith will likely return. He'll probably want to support Tomsula and he's been working out at the Niners' facility.

Ray Mac is gone. Even if J.Smith does return, it will be in a more limited role. Quality depth is needed.

I can see Jalen Collins or Marcus Peters being the pick. I'm a big fan of Peters. I don't see the Culliver comparison other than their size. I think he plays a lot more like Talib.
