Hold on...what makes you think they're going to switch to a 4-3. They're built for a 3-4, were a top 5 defense in 2014. Why would they change now...it makes no sense. If it ain't broke...don't fix it.

Just a dirty little rumor that's going around. And Rumors have been true about this team before. I'm with you I personally like the 3-4 defense in general more than a 4-3 and our defense was amazing last season but I'm just going off of the rumors going around.

I don't see why we would be going 3-4?? top 5 D for years and you want to switch up everything?
I like Cully over Cox as well, but I see Gore getting another year. Iupati will see big cash not sure why you think otherwise? And if he doesn't get a big deal then SF should find a way to resign him.
Like the draft hope we go WR or DL in the 1st.

I went WR in the 1st just because the receiving depth in this draft has lots of slot receivers and #2 WR but not many #1s while D-line I think has a good amount of quality players in this draft. As far as Iupati he is one dimensional and he does that one dimension better than most Guards in the league but to give him a lot of money to just be a run blocker I would be hesitant with that. Brandon Thomas won't be the run blocker he was but he would be a upgrade as far as pass blocking goes.

It all comes down to system and the coaching staff, so to say because he hasn't been great at pass blocking on SF doesn't mean he will be bad on another team (ex: Baltimore o-line under Kubiak this past season). He is gonna get paid top dollar there really isn't a question about that.
I like Thomas he was a stud at OT in college and hopefully that will translate to guard in the NFL. I actually like the O-line SF has going forward. I think Kilgore gets the center job (he played well this year) and I can see M Martin and Thomas fighting for Mike's spot. Grabbing a good swing tackle later in the draft might make some sense too.
I with you at WR, to me that is the most important spot to fix. I prefer White to Parker, but I would rather draft down in the 1st and grab DGB
.Best-case scenario is Mariota dropping to us (not gonna happen) and trading picks with Philly!

Good mock! I had White in the first but I like Parker, Davis and Johnson in the 1rst-3rd.
How many FAs the team is able to keep may say something about Tomsula's real popularity with the players. If many leave for Chicago...oh well! I would prefer keeping Cox to Culliver as the latter's character is a bit sketchy. Not sure CC will stay out of trouble.

This wouldn't be too bad all in all, I do expect a little more action in FA, even if guys don't stick. I do like the idea of Locker. He is a capable QB and has some real talent but is always injured. As a backup if he has to step in for a game or two, he is capable of winning a few games. I like Crowder and Johnson, just don't know if they will still be around...I'd also like to keep Gore for a season or two but replacing him with another kid from the U is fitting.
