Like it but i think its a bit of a reach for Brown. If we went back 5-10 spots then took him id be much happier.

I could see the positions picked in each round looking like that, but I disagree on where you have some players being taken. Petty and Gunter are both projected to go in the 3rd-4th rounds. Beckham will be taken in the first round, probably before Brown. CBS and NFL draft scout have Thompson as a 6th round pick, so you could swap Ajayi into the 3rd, Gunter in the 4th (still a stretch), and change Petty to a QB who could last to the 6th round like Mannion (but he probably won't be there either).

I disagree with you about DGB he is a bit of a wild card he could go top 15 or not until the 3rd...I would prefer a trade back in the 1st to grab more picks and get DGB with that 1st.

Hopefully one of the QBs drops, but I highly doubt it.

They may if they feel someone else would get him.

MANY, MANY people in the Zone said over & over that we wouldn't get anything for Alex because they could get him when he was released due to his cap number. Others said to just let him walk.

Not listening to that noise worked out VERY well for us.

Maybe we could get a 5th for Brooks and I'd be happy if we did.

The reason Brooks is different is because he already has a huge salary for his position. Alex did not.

I'd love it if the Niners could get something for Brooks, and he's a great OLB. But I don't see it happening.

Why are we cutting phil dawson?
