Last Day of 2014 Mock Draft

Let Walk: Crabs, Iupati
Resign: Gore, Culliver, Skuta
Trade: Ahmad Brooks and our 4th to Cleveland for 3rd

1st Round: DeVante Parker WR: Want DGB but don't think his going to come out this year. Parker gives us a TALL red zone threat with some good speed. What more could we ask for. Will easily fill Crabs shoes.

2nd Round: Arik Armstead DE: Even if the cowboy returns DE is a big need next year. Tank came on late and teaming him with Armstead could give us an even better front 7. Could use his height on FG blocks. Very high upside player

3rd Round from CLE: Marcus Peters CB: I know he is not a 3rd round guy, but with his character problems its hard to judge where he goes (thinking similar with the honey badger he will fall to the 3rd round) IMO the best CB in the draft would be a day one starter plus anyone is better then Ward.

3rd Round: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu CB: Another guy who is going to slide this time due to injury. May need redshirt which the niners love. We need a better secondary and I don't have faith in the corners will have. Culliver had a good year but can look bad at times. With back to back picks at CB should make the secondary a strong point in our top 5 defense.

5th Round:Miles Dieffenbach OG: Boone began to play better at the end of the year, and we can all hope Brandon Thomas fills Iupati's shoes but who knows. Miles has been injuried most of the year so not a lot of recent tape on him but a solid OG will provide good depth worst case.

6th round comp pick:Sean Mannion QB: Needs to be developed, but we need to develop a back up so may work out. Has the tools just needs to put everything together.

7th round:Terrance Magee RB: Take a flyer on a backup who has performed as the number 2 at LSU.

Anyone is better then Ward? Really? Lol.
Marcus Peters choked his coach. Do we really want to bring that type of personality into this locker room?

I like the Parker pick even though I'd prefer Kevin White. Also like the Armstead and Ekpre-Olomu picks a lot.

Would be ecstatic if Mannion fell to the 6th round.
Ward was a TD machine last year. May be being to hard on a rookie but never want to see him play corner again needs to move and stay at safety.

Haven't seen much on Kevin White yet need to spend more time looking on the old youtube. As far as Peters I would take a flyer on him. I think the def will teach him how to be a pro, plus a young kid who made a mistake ( needs to learn your not going to get along with everyone in life). Think he is the best corner in the draft and worth the risk.
I think after the first top QB's go its hard to judge so I could see Mannion falling but could also see him going in the third round if a team falls in love

Ward gave up 4 TDs and 3 of them came against Brandon Marshall in one game, so yes, you're being too hard on him.
4 TD in 8 games which the niners gave up 22 total TD in those 8 games. And not only touchdowns he just seemed out of place looking like Borland trying to cover WR.

It's hard being a rookie CB in the NFL. It's even harder when you are asked to play the toughest spot which is in the slot. It becomes even harder still when you have no pass rush becuase Llynch hadn't come on yet and Aldon was suspended And bowman couldn't blitz from the IR and RayMac is playing poorly because of personal issues...... He was thrown into the fire big time. If he could have stayed healthy we might have seen improvement over the year but it's a little harsh to judge a rookie who only plyed a few games early in the season in the toughest role in the secondary with very little pass rush support.

I think you need to learn a little more about the nickel back position. You can't expect an absolute shut down corner at that position. Especially a rookie. He will improve and should stay there. We don't need him at safety right now.

Exactly. Everyone remember the Chicago game and ignores how he improved as the year went on. The only question with Ward is his foot. If he's healthy he'll be a good player.
Would love this Draft. I have a feeling Peters goes in Round 2 though.
Can't see two CBs in the draft but props for picking my guy Parker and Mannion (even though he'll be gone way before the 6th round)
