They cut Kaepernick already?

Seriously? They didn't even play, how the hell is that Kaps fault?

I hadn't really made up my minds about this guy. I have him as a rd 2 TE with Max.. but I get that he can be classified as a big WR, no problem.

Interesting article to at least ponder...

What that article doesn't mention is that he missed a game this season, was banged up throughout the season, and never had a QB who was any good at throwing the football.

I'd rank him as the 5th WR, but it's pretty close between Funchess, Strong, Coates, and Smith. If he had Jameis Winston throwing him the ball, the comparison with Benjamin may make more sense, but I don't think his hands are as good. I think he has enough speed to play WR and he's not a good enough blocker to play TE. He's a better deep threat than Jaelen Strong in my opinion. I wouldn't want him at 15, but I wouldn't hate it if we traded back in the first or somehow got him in the 2nd round. I really want either Dorial Green-Beckham or Devin Smith though.

Those two are my realistic favorites (White and Cooper will be gone).

I wouldn't touch this guy in the 1st 2 rds. He is listed as a TE on NFL.com and players like him and Coates just don't do it for me. I like my WR/TE to be able to actually catch the ball lol. Coates dropped 1 out of 9 balls throw his way this year ...I'll pass on that.

Great to see Michigan fans, Go Blue!! Did you feel that he was lazy at times???? Dropped some easy ones
4.7
TE IMO
I like him as a TE. I am intrigued cause he is a matchup nightmare. Huge goal line target. No doubt we need a better #2 TE then Vance. Granted I hope Vance proves me wrong. I'd take him in the 2nd.
So how far does Funchess slide now? The end of the 2nd? He'd be a tempting prospect to take there.

Maybe even early 3?
Maybe you take a chance in the 3rd. Too small for a TE and does not block well at all. His hands aren't great and a lot of UM fans questioned his commitment during this rough season. Due to his blocking alone I don't see him as a fit for us.

A can see him slipping to the third. He's a tweener.
I love him as a pass catcher but I haven't been able to find much film of him blocking
Also remember guys, he didn't have a good QB at Michigan throwing to him. Gardner was average, good at best. I also think he is a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.
