Kiper has him going 20th. With the lack of talent elite talent at CB this year, I'm pretty sure Peters will be a first rounder.

What's interesting is that he doesn't have either FSU CB going in the first (PJ WIlliams and Ronald Darby). They might make excellent 2nd-round picks.

I think he could definitely be a 1st rd pick come April.

Declared underclassmen announced.

What are his negatives that keep him out of the top 50?

He's under 5'11 (5'10.4 at senior day). He does have pretty big hands and reasonable length for his size, but being small is still a negative. He's quick, but he doesn't seem to be as fast or quick as some of the other slot receiver prospects like Lockett and Crowder (they both have really small hands and Lockett has short arms as well). He dropped some passes at the Senior Bowl practice today, but I still think he has pretty good hands.

ECU receiver Justin Hardy took a step back Wednesday. He had a handful of drops, including one on a 5-yard slant, but one nice deep catch.Read more here: http://www.newsobserver.com/2015/01/21/4494154/despite-size-dukes-crowder-stands.html#storylink=cpy

He's not really exceptional at anything, so I don't think he deserves to be in the top 50. He's way behind the top 7 WR prospects as far as I'm concerned and he's ranked #62 overall on CBS and NFL draft scout.

What are his strengths that make you think he deserves to be in the top 50?
I have Paul Dawson graded as a top 20 pick. I think he is that good. Like to hear your thoughts.

Where do you have him ranked in comparison to Kikaha? I'm thinking the niners need to consider a true OLB if they want to switch to a 43 (which i actually think suits them much better right now)
Haven't checked out Hardy or Dawson yet guys, will do so.

Long arms and great hands, precise footwork and crisp routes, beats press coverage, makes tough catches with defenders all over him, good speed and quickness, makes spectacular big play catches, willing and determined blocker, catches with hands and not body, capable PR/KR, aggressive gaining YAC, production at college level is through the roof, loaded highlight reel

Overall, I think he is a WR that can fit in any system and can fill many roles. His measurables are not eye-popping, but on the field he blends great technique with sound fundamentals. He's no project, but he still has plenty of upside. He can play all over the field, inside or out. I think he would contribute immediately to the 49ers or any other team, filling a WR2 and/or KR/PR role.

Updated 2015 Offensive Positional Rankings, as of January, 23rd, 2015JANUARY 23, 2015 BY JASON (EDIT)

Quarterbacks:

1 Marcus Mariota*, Oregon

- Mariota has great size, good accurate QB, great on short passes, he is a fast QB, good at fitting the ball in tight spots, but he does tend to hold onto the ball for too long at times, and not the most accurate on deep passes, but I expect him to be the 1st or 2nd QB off the board in April.

2 Jameis Winston*, Florida State

- Winston has a solid frame, size wise, beautiful release, good arm strength, and a good accurate ball thrown, but he forces some throws, and over throws some passes, but he should be among the first 2 QBs selected in April.

3 Brett Hundley*, UCLA

- Hundley has good size, good accuracy, fits the ball in tight spots so nicely, has good speed, and is a good scrambling QB, but he does throw too many balls in double, and triple coverage, but he should be a 1st round pick come April.

4 Bryce Petty, Baylor

- Petty has good arm strength, he is a decent running QB, and has decent accuracy, but over throws at times, and is under a ton of pressure too much.

5 Sean Mannion, Oregon State

- Mannion has good size, decent speed, and good arm strength, but over throws at times, and not the most accurate QB

Running Backs:

1 Melvin Gordon*, Wisconsin

- Gordon has really good size, he is a play maker, makes something out of nothing, good pass, and run blocker, and is a TD machine, but he doesn't have elite back speed, and he gets stuffed at the line of scrimmage at times, but he should be a 1st-round pick this April.

2 Todd Gurley*, Georgia

- Gurley has good size, is a really good play maker, a tough runner, and a good blocker, but he doesn't have elite breakaway speed, and suffered an ACL injury this past season, but he should still be 1st-2nd round pick this April in my opinion.

3 Tevin Coleman*, Indiana

- Coleman has good size for a back, decent speed, good vision, a good runner, and a play maker, but he gets stuffed at the lie of scrimmage at times, and drops some easy passes out of the backfield, but I expect him to be a 1st-2nd round pick come April.

4 Ameer Abdullah, Nebraska

- Abdullas has ideal speed to be a great back in the NFL, he is a tough runner, play maker, good runner, and has good vision, but the only knock on him is his size frame, he is a bit small, but I expect Abdullah to be a 2nd round pick this April.

5 Duke Johnson*, Miami(Fla.)

- Johnson has great speed, great vision, is a play maker, and is a great pass catching back, but he is a more undersized back, and has issues hanging onto the football, but I expect Johnson to be a 2nd round pick come April.

6 T.J. Yeldon*, Alabama

- Yeldon has great size, good speed, is a tough runner, and has good vision for a back, but he isn't the best pass blocker, and gets stuffed at times, but expect him to be selected in the 2nd-3rd round area come April.

7 Mike Davis*, South Carolina

- Davis is a tough runner, a play maker, has good vision, and is a good pass catching back, but he is a smaller back, he isn't the fastest back, and has issues getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage at times, but I expect him to be a 2nd-3rd round pick come April.

8 Jay Ajayi*, Boise State

- Ajayi has really good size, is a dynamic runner, has god vision, and is a play maker, but he does tend to get stuffed at the line of scrimmage at times, but I expect him to be a 2nd-3rdround pick come April.

Wide Receivers:

1 Amari Cooper*, Alabama

- Cooper has a good size frame, has good speed, is a dynamic play maker, and is a decent blocker, and I honestly don't see any flaws, he may be the best WR to come out since the 2011 draft, when we saw Julio Jones, and AJ Green selected in the top 7, so I expect Cooper to be the 1st WR taken in the draft this April.

2 Kevin White, West Virginia

- White has a great size frame, great speed, he is a polished WR, maybe the most polished WR in the draft this year, a dynamic WR, good pass catcher, and a good blocker overall, so not many flaws that I can see, so I expect him to be a 1st-round pick come April.

3 DeVante Parker*, Louisville

- Parker has good size, has decent speed, gets open easily, and often beats 1 on 1 coverage, but he isn't overally fast looking, but I expect him to be a 1st-round pick come April.

4 Dorial Green-Beckahm*, Oklahoma

- Green-Beckham has great size, has great speed, is a good pass catcher, is a deep threat, and a play maker, but had off the field issues at Missouri, as he got kicked off the football team, so I wonder how that will play into his draft stock, and you have to wonder how in shape he is, but I still expect him to be a 1st-round pick come April.

5 Devin Funchess*, Michigan

- Funchess has really good size, is a great deep threat, and is an all-around great play maker, but he isn't the fastest, as he played TE to before moving to WR, but I expect Funchess to be a 1st-round pick come April.

6 Jaelen Strong*, Arizona State

- Strong has great size, a great play maker, and a great pass catcher, but he isn't the fastest WR on the field, but he should be a 1st-round pick come April.

7 Sammie Coates*, Auburn

- Coates has good size, he posses good speed, is a dynamic play maker, great pass catcher, great deep threat, and is an overall great weapon on offense, but he could be described as a developmental prospect, but I expect him to be a 2nd round pick in April.

8 Justin Hardy, East Carolina

- Hardy is a great pass catcher, a solid route runner, has good speed, and makes plays all the time, but he did come in undersized at the Senior Bowl weigh-in's, but he has so much upside, that I see him being a 2nd-round pick come April.

9 Nelson Agholor, USC

- Agholor has good size, is a good pass catcher, a play maker, but he lacks elite speed, but that shouldn't stop him from being a 2nd-3rd round pick.

10 Rashad Greene, Florida State

- Greene has great speed, is a versatile player, can play WR, and be a Returner for you, and is a good play maker, but he is a bit on the light size, but I expect Greene to be a 2nd-3rd round pick come April.

Tight Ends:

1 Maxx Williams*, Minnesota

- Williams has a great size frame, is a solid all-around blocker, and a good pass catcher, but he is on the slow side, but I expect him to be the 1st TE taken in April.

2 Nick O'Leary, Florida State

- O'Leary has a solid size frame, is a good pass catcher, and a good all-around blocker, but he does run some wrong routes, and isn't the fastest TE, but he should still be an early round pick come April.

3 Ben Koyack, Notre Dame

- Koyack has great size, is a good run, and pass blocker, has proven that he can be a good pass catcher, but he does get pushes around the line of scrimmage at times, but I expect Koyack to be a early round pick come April.

4 Clive Walford, Miami(Fla.)

- Walford has a solid size frame, is a good run blocker, and a good pass catcher, but is a slower TE, but he should still be in the mid round area, maybe as early as the 3rd-round come April.

5 Jesse James*, Penn State

- James has an awesome size frame, is a good pass catcher, and a good all-around blocker, but he is on the slow side, but I expect him to be a mid round pick, possibly as early as the 3rd-round come April.

Centers:

1 Cameron Erving, Florida State

- Erving has great size, is a good blocker, both run and pass, is versatile, can play Center, and Tackle, but is a tad slow, but he should be the 1st Center taken in April.

2 Hroniss Grasu, Oregon

- Grasu has an awesome size frame, a solid pass, and run blocker, and a mauler, but he is on the slow side, but I expect him to be a early round pick come April.

3 Reese Dismukes, Auburn

- Dismukes has great size, is a good blocker, and a mauler, but he is on the slow side.

4 Jake Smith, Louisville

- Smith is like most Centers, he is a big guy, a solid blocker, but on the slow side.

5 David Andrews, Georgia

- Andrews has solid size, a good blocker, but he is on the slow side.

Offensive Guards:

1 A.J. Cann, South Carolina

- Cann has solid size, is a solid pass, and run blocker, and is a mauler on the line, but he is on the slow side, but I expect him to be the 1st Guard taken in April.

2 Josue Matias, Florida State

- Matias has a great size frame, is a good run, and pass blocker, and is a mauler, but he struggles against fast defenders, and is on the slow side.

3 Tre' Jackson, Florida State

- Jackson has solid size, is a good run, and pass blocker, and is a mauler, but like most Guards his size, he struggles against fast defenders, and is on the slow side.

4 Arie Kouandjio, Alabama

- Kouandjio has awesome size, is a solid pass, and run blocker, and is a mauler, but struggles against fast defenders, and is on the slow side.

5 Laken Tomlinson, Duke

- Tomlinson has a great size frame, is a good run, and pass blocker, and is a mauler on the line, but he struggles against fast defenders, and is on the slow side.

Offensive Tackles:

1 Brandon Scherff, Iowa

- Scherff has a big body, is a good pass, and run blocker, and is a mauler on the line, but he is a little slow, but not bad, I expect him to be among the top 2 Tackles taken in April.

2 Andrus Peat*, Stanford

- Peat has awesome size, is a solid pass, and run blocker, and is a mauler on the line, but he is on the slow side, but I expect him to be among the top 2 Tackles taken in April.

4 Ereck Flowers*, Miami(Fla.)

- Flowers has an awesome size frame, is a solid pass, and run blocker, and is just a mauler on the line, but he is on the slow side, but he should still be a 1st-round pick come April.

5 Darryl Williams, Oklahoma

- Williams has awesome size, is a solid pass, and run blocker, and is a mauler on the line, but he is on the slow side, but he should still be a 1st-2nd round pick come April.

Defensive Ends:

1 Leonard Williams*, USC

- Williams has great size, is a solid pass rusher, and a good tackler, he is also versatile, he can play DE and DT, but he makes some silly mistakes, and misses some easy tackles, but I expect him to be the top DE taken in the draft this April.

2 Randy Gregory*, Nebraska

- Gregory has decent speed, is a good pass rusher, a good tackler, a tall edge rusher, and a dynamic pass rusher, but he is a lighter edge rusher, likely a OLB more so than a DE at the next level, but he should be a 1st-round pick, possibly a top 5-10 pick come April..

3 Dante Fowler Jr.*, Florida

- Fowler has good speed, is a good pass rusher, a good edge rusher, has decent size for a 4-3 DE, and is a good tackler, but he makes some mental errors, but not many negatives at all, he should be a 1st-round pick come April.

4 Shane Ray*, Missouri

5 Nate Orchard, Utah

- Orchard is a good pass rusher, and a good tackler, a nice tall edge rusher too, but he doesn't have elite speed, and he is undersized a little bit weight wise, and but if he adds on weight, he should be fine as a 4-3 DE, and be a 1st-round pick come April.

8 Owamgbe Odighizuwa, UCLA

- Odighizuwa has decent size for a 4-3 DE, a solid pass rusher, and a solid tackler, but he isn't the fastest edge rusher, but he should still be a early round pick come April.

1 Denzel Perryman, Miami(Fla,)

Every offensive lineman you are ranking is big, slow, and good at blocking? I mean, yes, they are offensive lineman so they aren't burners, but Erving is a really good athlete for a center.

I will admit my weakness in scouting is Offensive Lineman, not that great at scouting them.
Pretty good write ups, but every DT is slow. Not every DT can be Dontari Poe
How high would you draft NT/DT Oklahoma Jordan Phillips?

lol, true on the Poe thing.

Umm I would say in the late 2nd-3rd round for Phillips right now would be my spot where I have him. I like Phillips. I think he would be an excellent choice in that area.

Where do you have him ranked in comparison to Kikaha? I'm thinking the niners need to consider a true OLB if they want to switch to a 43 (which i actually think suits them much better right now)

Kikaha is one of the better pass rushers in this draft, and is best suited as a 43 DE in the nickel. with his hand on the ground. He is like Aldon in that he is pretty stiff in coverage but can be a handful as a nickel pass rusher off the edge. He probably needs an extra 10 pounds to be a base 43 DE.

Dawson is a 43 outside backer, or ILB. He reminds me a bit of Bobby Wagner, who I thought was a terrific prospect
