Which of the second tier CB's would you take? | Page 3

The top tier of CB's in this draft that most of the experts agree upon are Dennard, Gilbert, Fuller, Verrett, and Roby. Picking at # 30, it is possible (maybe not probable) that all 5 could be gone at that point. Gaines and Watkins.

But, Jimmie Ward, SS, maybe one of the better slot corners in the draft.

I'm assuming that this thread implies we drafted a slot already....
Hopefully it was Verrett

With that being said, if we draft a second tier CB chances are we are going to give him time to develop, maybe spend a year learning/healing....

Kyle fuller & breeland are probably locks for 49er fits baalke loves special team play and both really lay the hammer and aggressive CBs

This thread is based on the Niners drafting one of the top five in the first round, but they all could be gone by #30. I'm looking for the top two options from the next ten prospects. My original thoughts were Watkins and Colvin late. Interesting how much run guys like Breeland, Desir and Gaines are getting.

I really like Jean-Baptiste. And some of it is because I think you want CBs that are big and physical enough to play with the Brandon Marshalls of the NFL.

He looks like like he has speed and ball skills as well. At least to my untrained eyes...

Percentage of attempts that became completions and how far downfield it happened.

That's a pretty small part of the overall picture. How many passes were attempted at those distances? What was the safety doing on those plays? Maybe he had his man covered well the majority of the time so no one ever threw it deep unless he and the safety had a miscommunication that left the WR wide open.

Point is, I wouldn't fall in, or out of love with anyone over one chart.

I want J.Ward and B.Breeland

Ward seems like a player that can come in as a rookie nickle back and be productive

Breeland groomed to take over LCB for Culliver in 2015 if not sooner

You never watched SJB play that statistic is based off 1 play where he tripped and fell on the line of scrimmage the wr went to the house

Well, Baalke clearly is only looking at guys who are at least 6'0" tall and given we may play much more press and single high FS, I'm guessing we will be looking at very physical and aggressive CB's who can hold their ground against the bigger WR's and even dictate matchups.

Who fits in both tiers?
