49ers will move up from #30 and give up #77 just like last year and move up to #15-18 and pick up CB Denard.
Me to.

While realize CB is our #1 priority, I doubt we take a CB first. Our secondary is based on the strength of our front 7.
My guess is we'll draft a DE / DT or a WR, the see how the CB crop looks like with one of our two 2nd rounders.

I could see us making a move, especially if a top 10 player falls to the late teens, and if its a player that will address CB and WR ...I can see it happening , but if not , stand pat and run with what we have , but knowing what a great poker player Baalke is , we will be making moves for sure
....Cant wait , we will eat well on draft weekend

I doubt Baalke has a fixed strategy. He has his board, but he obviously has no control over who gets picked where. This is a deep draft, so I doubt he would want to use up much draft capital to move up. So if he sees a guy he really wants drop into the late 20's, he may use a late 3rd or 4th to move up. But when I look at all the players that are available in the 2nd round this year, I'm more inclined to trade down out of the 1st and up into the 2nd and try to get 4 picks there. Maybe Baalke feels the same way. If this goes like previous drafts, with all these picks, there will probably be a lot of movement. This draft is so deep, though, I doubt he trades out for future picks as much as he has in the past.
On another topic, I'm not really buying the "We don't need all these picks" argument. If you're doing well, roughly half your picks actually make it in the NFL. And this roster could easily handle 5 or 6 upgrades.

This is pretty good. I agree. I seem pretty alone in the thinking that they will not use a first round pick on a WR. They won't risk AJ #2. I think they take a CB first and maybe even move up for Gilbert. Presuming Baalke likes him.
Most had Cyprien/Elam/Reid equal. So no need to move up. But Baalke really like Reid and his plan was to jump up as soon a Vaccarro was picked.
Gilbert/Dennard/Fuller/Verrett/Roby are somewhat equal, or at least no clear consensus. But if Baalke loves one, we will see a Reid move if a run on CBs.

i think we sit at 30 in the first or maybe trade a later pick to move up a little bit but we will probably trade one of the 2nds for a 1st next year. that seems to be what smart teams do when they have tons of picks and not too many holes. we could also stockpile talent and move around aggressively since we dont have too many holes and are superbowl contenders right now, who knows what shape we will be in when we have to pay kap and aldon, were gonna lose a lot of good players when those contracts come into play so we better go for the SB wins now and put some great young players on this roster so we can let some of the more expensive veterans walk
