Donte Montcrief - wr - size speed will benefit from learning from crabs and boldin 2. Deone Buchanon - ss - will learn the position his first year and be a special teams contributor 3. Pierre Desir - cb - project outside cover corner 3. Dri Archer - wr - hopefully he can learn the slot wide receiver position. Returner his first year 4. Caraun Reid - 34 de - explosive in to his gap and gets good penetration. 5. Logan Thomas - qb - harbaughs new project 7. Spencer Long - og - pup list to IR 7. Colt Lyerla - te - competes in preseason and if he gets in any trouble u cut him but his talent is undeniable.

why would you want to trade all them picks for a player most likely still on the board just where we're sitting. I feel like sometimes people out smart themselves. now if it was for Dennard then I could understand.

Possibly, the Niners bring back Rogers to play the slot and draft Denard (trading up) to play outside.

Would the OP propose that Archer is active while Patton is inactive? (Crab, Boldin, Moncrief, Archer, Osgood)

Archer's too little...5-8, 173 is pretty small, doubt Baalke would bite on him. I see him taking two of the fastest big WR's he can. Moncrief's fine, but Matthews, Adams or someone close to them in size/ability so they can both learn from Boldin & Crabtree. MC may not be a Niner in 2015, so now's the time to prepare for that. Archer's no replacement for him. The rest, I like a lot.

If Archer's hands are good (& good ball security) they could trade LMJ and get Archer the ball ~ 10 times per game on punt and kick returns, plus run him on ~5-10 deep pass routes each game to loosen up the D and also 2-3 carries
