That would be a very good draft. Our backfield and our receiving corps would have had quite an influx of quality players.

Nice picks BUT I don't think most of those guys will be there when we pick.

I would say we have a real good shot at everybody except Pryor and Benjamin

I'm all in with Pryor, but with Bethea signing I don't think he is in our plans.

I think that they specifically constructed Bethea's contract that should their rookier, whomever that may be, prove to be a better player they could dump Craig Dahl, use Bethea to train our rookie and dump Bethea in two years. So I see a Safety as a priority pick in the first three rounds of the draft. Bethea is not getting younger, he was just cheaper than Whitner.

I don't see them drafting Bethea's replacement this year though. They will probably take a late round guy to see if he can play ST and be coached up, but he'll have to beat out Ventrone or Dahl. That sounds laughably easy but the team learned its lesson about cutting special teams aces in 2012. Dahl's experience makes him more valuable than most rookies in the first year.

They may draft him this year but it won't be in the first round. If somebody falls to the 3rd round that ends up being good enough that's one thing but we have holes at CB and a need for at least one younger WR, we're not going to draft a first round safety.
