who's your 'under the radar' wide receiver?

Mike Campanaro, Wake Forest - 5-9, 192 4.46

Very strong player (20 reps at combine), very quick player, and a very football-smart, instinctive player. Productive too. Although he missed some time with a shoulder injury, he averaged over 100 yards per game, finishing with 800+ and 6 TDs in just 8 games. He figures to be a later round selection, but with the right fit, Campanaro should contribute as a nice slot receiver.

Jordan Matthews -- he's not appearing on too many analyst's post combine 1st round mocks.

Sammy Watkins. I think some of the scouts are catching on to him, but he has speed, strength, hands, and great concentration. He'd be a great pick-up in the mid rounds, but I think he might make it into the second if he gains any momentum. We might even need to trade up.

Another mid-round guy who has the tools to be a good receiver is Devin Street. What he lacks are the consistent open-field moves to create a long reception out of a short one. On the field, while his timed speed isn't great, I do not see an issue of him lacking field speed. His speed is not elite so while he can be caught from behind, it's not a "more often than not" thing.

Everything else though? Hands, solid routes, production, measurables in terms of his leaping ability, agility and explosiveness at the combine? Those were all excellent (referring to the combine). So while I wouldn't consider him a steal in the 4th - 5th round, I believe he gives a team some good attributes to work with.

Are you seeing all this on the field? I had an impression of him being just a guy, with his actual play.

What round would you take him in? If Dri Archer can be had as a 4-5, then I'd probably look at Reese as a 5-7. He doesn't return kicks, his blocking is atrocious, and he doesn't do much with his routes that Archer couldn't do as a rookie, but they both have that SPEED. I was stunned by his combine 40.

I think this is why he's a little more of an unknown player. He quietly did his thing out there. I did not watch a lot of Pitt games, but I believe the team is not really a passing team, so Street -- while a good athlete but not a "ridiculous" one -- didn't figure to get as much attention. He has NFL size and arm length at 6-3 and about 200 pounds and in his scouting report it is noted that he has room to grow there as well.

Like most mid-rounders, he is knocked because of a combination of the following: lacks a key measurable scouts want (elite to above average timed speed) + could use some more physical development + needs technical refining of his routes.

I give him a late 4th round grade because he does need development, but his potential with that development, and the physical attributes he does possess, make him worth taking in the middle rounds to develop.
