I agree with everything but Tuitt. We dont have a huge need for another DE. Especially another high round DL pick. Rather go Dennard or Gilbert at CB in rd 1. Or Matthews in rd 1 at WR. Of course a lot will change between declarings, and stock going up and down.

But Andrew, great mock, love it.

Yea i know we're alil deep at D-line i just have a crush on Tuitt he can play anywhere on tha line ...From what ive read of Dennard is he really at 1st round CB ????
A Vandal? For reals?

For real though, why Quayshawne Buckley?

I have followed his career closely, have met him in person several times, have seen him play in persona bunch, and i was curious what you like abut him?

I have my take but im curious to hear yours.

He has some upside, but has some other major issues.

Love grabbing Murray in the 3rd. I really like the way the kid plays. Gets the most out of his more limited physical tools and is gritty as hell.

With Iupati's contract situation and Goodwin likely not returning I think it would be smart to take an interior lineman before the 5th round. Although if we get a 3rd round comp pick that might be a good place to take one.
ok ok im new and cant post my own thread for 7 days so hopefully sundevil doesn't mind lol

I see us cutting rogers..not worth the 6-7 million..cut dahl..sucks..as soon as reid went out in the titan game they picked on him n cj took a screen 2 the house..
resigning brock, brown, with what we would save from cutting rogers n dahl..figure have 4-5 a yr for brown and 2-3 a yr brock each 3 yr deals

resign Osgood, dixon, wilhoite, dobbs all to light deals..thats our special teams..tho I think Dixon will get a real chance somewhere else but he loves the niners..

offer boldin 2 yr 10 million..plus incentives..idk if he would accept but I wouldn't go any higher on money or yrs..if boldin doesn't accept it.. offer less to maclin,britt,tate,sanders..all younger n cheaper then boldin..maybe not tate..

franchise tag whitner..6 million..be able to work in our strong safety we draft this year slowly

resign phil dawson definitely..trade lamike james for 2015 3rd rd pick..

we lose maybe Dixon...lose Goodwin manningham McCoy bethal Thompson wright cut celek..

finish season 11-5..i honestly feel with crabs coming back n us hopefully being healthiest n complete by the playoffs we can win it all..our only challenges in the nfc r Seattle when they r home..New Orleans I feel we have there number..if it wasn't for a bs call we would have n should have won which would mean we won the last 3 times..

rd 1..trade like last year..give our 1st titans 3rd n our 6th for 13th overall n we select..Sammy Watkins from clemson..chances he falls idk..id throw in another pic if we have to..he is a beast 6'1 n fast..explosive..great hands..him n crabs on the outside boldin (if he resigns) in the slot vd at te...

rd 2 trade again..give kcs 2nd n Carolinas 7th for Justin gilbert from osu or darqueze dennard from msu

rd 2 trade yes I kno very active..why do u think baalke stacks up on late round picks to do exactly this..our 2nd n saints 7th for craig loston from lsu..replacement for franchised whitner n I figure the lsu connection n knowing each others strength n weakness is a great thing..

rd 3 titans pick traded to move up for Sammy Watkins..

rd 3 our pick aaron murray from uga..kid is smart n reminds me of a young drew brees..not saying he will be anything close to brees..good back up..knows how to win n has experience in big games..

rd 3 comp for head hunter goldson...tho I feel Kilgore is our center of the future im not sure..so we take bryan stork from fsu..my thinking is if he works out im not sure if we can resign iupati so Kilgore goes to his normal position or we still have looney who we drafted..

rd 4 our pick im thinking a te here only bc when vd goes down seems like McDonald cant be found so give him some comp id either go with Arthur lynch or Xavier grimble..

rd 4 comp for 1 of the best tight ends in the game that I regret losing delanie walker..im not sure if this guy will be there but im intrigued by Stanley Jean-Baptiste..big cb that we never have..biggest is cully..or antone exum but im tired of drafting hurt players..

rd 5 kareem martin de from unc used 2 be a top player a couple of years ago maybe he can be our greg hardy..hopefully..

rd 6 traded for Sammy Watkins in the 1st..

rd 7 Carolinas n new orleans picks traded to move up both 2nd rd picks

rd 7 indys pick im unsure im thinking a big dt...or trade for a 6th next yr..any suggestions..

rd 7 same as last pick..any suggestions..im thinking an athlete..height n speed like cooper last year..

udfa.. tj jones nd.. james franklin mizz..idk who else..

depth chart..

kap..murray..franklin..
gore..hunter..lattimore..
miller..
crabs..bolding or free agent..Watkins..patton..Baldwin or udfa..
vd..McDonald..lynch or grimble..
staley..
iupati..looney..
Kilgore or stork..
boone..Snyder..
davis..

raymac..dobbs..
Dorsey..Williams..dial..
smith..tank..Jerrod-eddie..
brooks..lemonier..martin..
bowman..moody..
willis..wilhoite..
smith..skuta..martin..
brown..brock..cully..gilbert or dennard..jean-baptiste..
reid..spillman..
whitner..loston..ventrone..

lee..
dawson..
mcdermit..
gilbert returns..or maybe cully or patton..both did in college..

ok well don't go 2 hard on me but be real..its my 1st mock ever..

I don't know much about him other then he has a large frame, room to fill out, and has been productive. I know he has off field issues, but ironically that is a bit of a plus when someone shows up senior year and produces (ie candidate for finally got his head on straight and tapping into potential not used before).

They play Florida State on Saturday and will the best look of him for me all year.

At this point its a shot in the dark, there aren't many 6th/7th round D-Lineman I've seen a lot of.
boldin 2yr, 10 mio??? crack stack with crocodile???

What do u think bold in will get as a free agent..? He's getting 6 million a year now n is only getting older..
And these 6 Mio. are coming from his Ravens' contract, iirc. Last year of the aforementioned contract, and like we know, usually last year is the most expensive one.
He can count himself lucky to get 3 mio., imho.
Ok I agree... I thought u were saying he would be getting more then the 5 million I said..how much do u think Golden Tate will get..?

Culliver and Rogers are on contract, the rest of our CBs are free agents. I'm assuming we can't re-sign both Brock and Brown, in order to re-sign them we would have to do a new contract with current players. Rogers is more likely if we want to keep him additional years. We just have too much money invested in our LBs to resign our corners

On defensive line, I'm penciling in Carradine/Dial for increased roles.

The problem is we have to start building our team with our salary cap in mind, we had more freedom in the past because players were replaceable. Crabtree, Gore, Aldon Smith, Iupati, and Kap are all FA's after 2014. Those are must re-sign guys (maybe let Gore go though?!?) and we have to save money do that. All 5 of those players IMO are more difficult to replace in the draft than Brock/Brown. Oh and Culliver is a FA after 2014 as well.

OK, that makes sense. I guess I see things a little differently, i.e. Crabtree, Gore and Iupati all gone after 2014. Hate to lose them, but that's the NFL. IMO the only hope to keep those three is if they sign below market contracts because of injures/reduced performance this season. I believe the 49ers have enough depth at RB right now to survive the loss of Gore, and could likely draft reasonable, cost effective replacements for Crabs and Iupati. Meanwhile, the strength and identity of the team, the front 7, isn't what it used to be. But I can see why your approach could be just as valid as mine. Cheers.

Why $3M only? He is still a capable top WR. He should be able to get $5-$6 million from us, which is fine by me. If he was worth it this year he is certainly worth it next and the year after. 2yr 12M, plus workout and roster bonuses.

Great job on the draft. I like a lot of the players you selected.

Are you assuming we don't get a comp pick? We should have three 3rd round picks including a comp pick (Goldson)
