Georgia Tech WR Stephen Hill declares, another 'Streeter' in my eyes ...

Wow, Hill is not as good as Streeter, but that is very interesting. Adds another tall WR to the crop.

Hill is very raw, much like Demaryius Thomas was, but he's got skill that could be harnessed. Made some circus catches, but did have a drop problem though.. not sure we need that.. but.. We know JH and Baalke are big on players they believe they can develop into stars.

Hill: 6-4 206 4.57.

OTC's current Grade: Late 3rd-4th round.

FYI, the DB class just got better. CB Gilmore declared -- http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2012/story/_/id/7427845/2012-nfl-draft-alshon-jeffery-stephon-gilmore-south-carolina-gamecocks-declares -- Jefferey declared too.

Streeter is expected to clock around 4.36 -- If he does, I see almost no chance he gets out of the 2nd round with a solid combine and other workouts. We've seen how size + speed can skyrocket a player.

Streeter had 175+ with 2 TD against 1st rounder Minnifield this year.

Sorry OTC don't mean to look like a Minnifield homer, but Minnifiled wasn't covering Streeter the whole game, he mixing up match ups going between Benjamin, Byrd, Hurns and Streeter that night. I remember that game, Jacory Harris almost brought them back.

That's true. Don't want to over-exaggerate Streeter's value or anything. I think he has some serious potential. If he clocks in the 4.3's like many expect, I can't see him falling out of the 2nd. Unless the guy is from a small school, you don't see many 6-4 215 pound receivers that can run 4.3's going in the 3rd rounds or later -- pretty much almost NEVER.

I think right now a possible darkhorse pick for the 49ers in the 1st is Alabama OLB Courtney Upshaw if he makes it to us. If we can't re-sign Brooks (and even if we can, you don't want to pass on a BPA when you only have 3 OLB's on your roster as it is), we will need a new SAM backer. Think of the Woodley-Harrison combo. Upshaw-Aldon could be just as good, if not better.

Why did Rb Robert Turbin leave early? Seems like a bad decision. Last year he missed due to an injury, and I think proving he can be health with another year would be pretty important.

I'd be surprised if he went earlier then the 5th round.

Extremely weak senior RB class. No senior currently carries anything higher than a third round value.

David Wilson declared earlier today. Also I'm from Utah and Turbin told the local media that he received or 3rd or 4th round grade from the advisory board. as long as he has a good medical I bet he gets picked right around there.
