The niners offered NE this years 3rd and next years 3rd to move to 33 and NE wanted this years 3rd and next years 2nd.

Ballke balked on the price and traded up for Kap and only gave up this years 4th and 5th instead.

The niners were targetting Kap over Dalton all along so got the QB they wanted.

As Peter King says in his article - sometimes the best trade is the one you don't make.

1/4"? if it was a whole inch, maybe 3/4 inch, but 1/4 inch? Hasn't helped he who shall not be named has it? the ball is only so big and we are not trying to palm a basketball.
