Niners draft grade so far is a D- to me. Too many questions about the players taken.

Care to elaborate?

1. Quinn
2. Ryan Williams
3. Stanzi
4a. Shareece Wright CB
4b. Austin Pettis WR

Everyone has their own set of guys they love and hate. But we didn't reach on any of these guys, and I would label all of them positions of need. Are you giving it a D- just because we missed on Ponder?

I think we passed on too many other good players, as you said they may just be my guys, but 2 running backs (we changed that one out) and a slow possession receiver don't rate highly on my needs. Quinn really is a prospect that says boom or bust to me.

1. Quinn = too high at 7, Vernon Gholston?, his potential is there but too many ?'s
2. Ryan Williams = decent back but not a need with Gore, won't see field much
3. Stanzi = looks like an average backup, we need a starter with upside
4a. Shareece Wright CB = best pick but has not shown much to evaluate
4b. Austin Pettis WR = a big slow WR is not what this offense needs
5. Ian Williams is a nice pick.

No b/c we should have picked QB
or CB in the 2nd, not a f**king RB. And I know you're gonna defend that pick because it was yours, but you know that RB isn't as high a need as CB.

So I wasn't right in saying it was all cuz we passed on Ponder in the 2nd?

Did I say it was because of Ponder? Nope. All I said was that a QB and a CB is a bigger need for this team than a RB. that is a fact.
I wonder who take seahawks,rams,cards
Jacksonville Jaguars select CB Korey Lindsey from Southern Illinois.
Raiders select OT Marcus Gilbert from Florida
Philadelphia Eagles select Roy Helu RB from Nebraska.

Actually it's an opinion.

Ryan Williams, RB, Virginia Tech: There is a lot I like about Williams. In fact, there are elements to his game that I believe translate better to the NFL than Illinois' Mikel LeShoure, who I rated as the 33rd best prospect. However, the struggles with durability concern me as Williams is 5-11, 205 pounds. In a class with as much middle round talent at RB as this one, I believe it drops the value of good, but not special backs like Williams.

Rob Rang Most Hyped 5

Not to bash really but I think this supports the argument that better value is available in other positions and players at the Niners 2nd round pick. Not really the player or picking him as much as when he was taken in the draft.
