What Would We Have to Trade

It's impossible to say right now. If we keep going the way we are, we could get a top 5 pick easily. We wouldn't have to give up anything then.
nothing. we'll definitely have the #1 pick.

Just keep working the system! almost there, almost there, stay on target! Almost there!
if we keep going the rate we are why do we need to trade if we some how turn it around I wouldn't mind a trade for Kyle Orton next year

how did you like this scenario....
packers need a running back, to make a super bowl push....could you get their 1st rd pick in 2011 for frank gore...would you make that deal...

with 2 1sts in 2011, niners might be in position to move up for andrew luck should he become available in draft (i dont think he leaves, but if niners made offer to jim harbaugh to become coach, that might change---can you imagine harbaugh running it up on the seahawks and pete carroll---that would be worth the price of admission)

why trade gore...rbs have a shelf life, and frank is probably nearing the end of his...moving the chess peices to position yourself to fill a need is something walsh would have done

Hey...hey...hey lets not get to cocky. We still have to fight off the Bills. ;)

I know it's way too early to figure out where we'll be picking. But just to get a few ideas - what would we have to trade or give up to get one of the top QB in the draft?

A top player and draftpicks? Just draft picks? Future draft picks?

What would you do?

clausen fell to #48...guess it would depend how deep this upcoming class is (which so far isn't stellar.) we're definitely built to make a run with a young qb with quality...if thats the case the ideal scenaro would be to sit him behind a veteran qb for at least the season. if u recall joe sat behind steve freakin deberg.

Nothing, we need to give Alex Smith another 7 years. Remember Rich Gannon didn't blossom till his early 30's. It would be a shame to give up on Smith too soon.

You anwered your own question, why would GB trade for an aging RB. If Moss has been dealt twice for a 4th and a 3rd round pick, Gore would get that much in a trade or less.
Why do we want the top pick? Look at what happened last time we had it?
