MadDog's Post-Combine Full NFL Draft March 7 Edition

After much angst, and days of wishy-washiness, here is the first post-combine installment of the 7 round draft projection. As soon as this is posted, I will quickly poop-can it, and begin once again. Many pro-day workouts to come, which will surely alter this board. As stated before, the majority of this board is not a mock draft, but a projection of the general area where a player should land based on slotting. However, the first 17 picks are a direct mock, where I think players will be selected based on the current draft order (there will be trades to alter this before the draft begins in April). The Niners have the 13th, 17th, 49th, and 79th overall selections, but I did not intentionally select certain players beyond the first rounders in their slot. I'd be happy to dissect any player on and off this board. The review of nearly 500 players this past week has slowed the progress significantly. I will attempt to post one update per week for the next 7 weeks before the draft begins. Surely, there are glaring errors (Ex: Earl Mitchell, RB, Tennessee). If you see these errors, please let me know, and I can adjust. Cheers to all. P.S. Yes, I do think the Browns will shock the draft world and draft Spiller at 7. I will also add some of my thoughts from the combine workouts, in particular watching the DB's. Final note: There are still heaps of variables with many players, and makes it nearly impossible to get a feel on where a player will fall. Let the serious mocking begin! Great job. I almost wept when I saw Spiller going at 7, but I've got a terrible feeling you're right.

One small spelling thing: It's Owusu-Ansah, not Owuso. And you sure wrecked my mock by moving him from 161 to 70. Pretty rarefied air for a DII guy from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Please ignore my ignorance - Is this list a rating of players' general value or is it a list based on your expectations relative to draft positions and team needs?

Spiller at seven is based on your expectation that the Browns will take him because of needs at that slot?

MD . . I've been picking up on a lot of chatter about DT Linval Joseph of East Carolina but I've never seen him play . . . do you have any info on him?

Seems like he was a sleeper but not so much anymore.
