I just wanted to post this article and see if people agreed with it or not.The guy is a ballhawk and has great football IQ. I'll be interested to see what he does at the combine if they try him at corner. To me, if we took him, he just looks too talented not to start somewhere on our D either at corner or a safety spot. Arguably, getting more playing time than either Spiller or Graham would.

Many people are projecting him to corner, which I think he'd be a better fit at if he can adjust.

actually he played allot at the cb position, but he is mainly a safety, but it shows how versitle he is. look at what kiper & mac say about his 1 on 1 cover skills. both seem to think he lines up better at the line with wr's than berry does. berry never did that until this yr & he had a hard time with it, but i think it was because it was new water for him. berry has better ball hawking skills & instincts.

Really? At that height? There aren't too many great corners that short. I think he's much better suited at FS in a pass happy league.

He's one inch shorter than Joe Haden if the stats I'm reading are right. He's also coming out before his senior year so there may be some room to pack on more weight, which might be more of a concern.

Haden is 5'11, Thomas is closer to 5'8 as we'll find out at the combine. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Earl Thomas, but more at FS than CB.

That's interesting. I'm guessing you saw him play in some games. Just from what I've seen, he looks like a guy that we could potentially put in at FS and he'd be comfortable running the D - something Willis hasn't been the greatest at and Goldson is doing ok at this year. If we can't get a passrusher we want at this pick, then why not bolster the backfield, right? I bet Goldson would make an awesome strong safety anyways with the way he hits.

One of the Key reasons i had the 49ers taking him in my mock is for his versatility in multiple positions.

He is basically like another corner at FS
