I love it Smileyman, absoultely love it.

Wouldnt mind either Asamoah or Mike Johnson at Guard.

And Spiller and Bulaga are good by me.
I like the first round. Don't know about Asamoah that early, but I agree with AB about Mike Johnson. Strong picks, good players and addresses offensive line. Nice!

Kiper has Asamoah as the 2nd best guard and had him ranked ahead of Iupati for most of the year. Asamoah is a beast who is great in pass blocking but also likes to manhandle in the run. Great value for us at 49 overall.
I would LOVE that draft! Very nice picks Smiley.

The only thing I don't like about it is letting the Seahawks draft Bradford.

I sure hate passing on Bradford.
Not the spiller bandwagon. Trent Williams goes too late IMO. Do not see Dallas passing on him for ILB when their OL got crushed, Williams would be a perfect fit at RT for them. Brandon Lefell goes top 15??

Also think Jets go WR Tate instead of OL when their OL is already one of the best in the NFL. Gotta give Sanchez more weapons.

Charges probably got RB instead of WR to replace LT, or at least OLB to replace merriman if he goes. Do not see WR as a big need for them and I'm very high on damian williams

You don't take a KR in the first round.
I could certainly go Spiller and Bulaga in the first but I would prefer R. Jones in the second and get Carter in the 3/4 round for my guard.

Spiller is far more than a KR/PR. He can catch it, he can run it. He can spell Gore and if (when) Gore gets injured again he'll do a much better job filling in than Coffee or M-Rob.

In three or four years when Gore's production drops off dramatically he'll be ready to step in and assume a full-time work load.

I believe we have bigger fish to fry than drafting a running back in the 1st round.

Who else would you grab there? A power RT will be available with our 1b. A great guard could be had in the 2nd. I could see grabbing Thomas there instead of Spiller, but that would mean Seattle would almost certainly draft Spiller because they need a RB

Your right. You take a RB that can play WR, KR, PR et al.
I'm beginning to like the idea of getting an OG in the 2nd round. I've always had the following as our best series of picks:

1A. OT (Williams, Bulaga, whomever)
1B. OG, Mike Iupati
2. CB, Arenas or Cox

But now, I think it's probably better to get a gamechanger like Spiller in the 1st round and still get the OT and OG for the oline within the 1st 3 picks.

Yeah, it comes down to the question if you wanna have Spiller in your division , because he will be pickes by Seattle if we don't take him

So i say Spiller, OT and bpa with the 1st 3 picks.

draft a rb at 13 to be a back up for 3/4 years? RBs don't need to be groomed for 3 years like QBs. They can plug in most RBs with talent and watch them go immediately. Draft a RB in 2 years when gore maybe falling off. Not right when he's still in his 20s and had a great year with a horrible OL.
