Smith Fam Mock Drafts 2021

What it do Faithful!!! We're now 5 days away from the most anticipated, and most hyped 49ers draft of all time!!
We were already having a killer offseason when we brought back all of our important free agents. People around The League praised us for our money management, and penciled us in to return to the playoffs! Then, we shocked and surprised the football world after executing a trade with the Miami Dolphins, moving up from #12 to #3, and mortgaging future drafts in the process. Now, we have become a Super Bowl Contender, and the most questioned and most talked about team, leading up to The Draft!
Everyone wants to know who did we trade up for???
We created a couple of different scenarios for the San Francisco during the 2021 NFL Draft. One with trades (a dream scenario), and one where we keep everything the way the current draft order stands (more realistic version)...So without further ado, here's our annual Smith Fam Mock Drafts for the year 2021.

WITH TRADES (dream scenario)
#3. Kyle Pitts - TE - Florida: Generational Talent! Best Athlete in the Draft! AP First-Team All-American, and first ever TE to get nominated for the best WR in College Football award. Kyle Shanahan gets the next Julio Jones / Megatron 2.0 to pair up with The YAC Bros (Kittle, Deebo and Aiyuk) to make for the most explosive offense in the NFL! With Shanahan's play calling and all those weapons, everyone will be envious of how impossible they will be to stop!

#55. (Traded #43 to PIT for #55 and #87) Eric Stokes - CB - Georgia: The Niners need help at the cornerback position, even after re-signing Moseley and Verrett, especially with the receivers in the Wild NFC West! Stokes was successful in the SEC against very talented receivers. He has size (6'1), speed (4.25 40yd dash), and all the tools necessary to become a shutdown defender!

#87. Davis Mills - QB - Stanford: The Niners get their quarterback of the future! Maybe a little later than most anticipate, but he's a local guy, from a pro-style offense under David Shaw. He's got great size (6'4) and plenty of arm talent. Shanny believes Mills got mad skills!

#102. Andre Cisco - S - Syracuse: Fearless defender who plays with a wreckless abandon! Attacking ballhawk with double digit interceptions (13) in his collegiate career that loved to punish people with his devastating hit sticks! "The Cisco Kid" will be a great backup and potential replacement for Jaquaski Tartt!

#120. (Traded #117, #230, and a 2022 6th round pick to NE for #120 and #197) Patrick Jones - EDGE - Pittsburgh: Jones was very productive in his last two years in college!! (83 tkl, 24 tfl, and 17.5 sacks) He will use his size (6'5, 260) and strength to become a disruptive and dynamic force on the defensive side of the ball!

#155. Michal Menet - C - Penn State: Three-Year Starter and Two-Time Captain in a conference that's known for their offensive line play in the Big 10. Excellent body control and great awareness. He will get the opportunity to sit behind one of our new acquisitions, All-Pro C Alex Mack, to learn the position over the next couple of years and eventually become a starter!

#172. Benjamin St. Juste - CB - Minnesota: The 49ers add another DB to provide depth at the most needed position on the team. He did not have an interception in his collegiate career, but he did have 62 tackles and 11 passes broken up. A developmental project with great size and a competitive spirit, St. Juste is on the record of saying he had a "great connection" with the 49ers brass at The Senior Bowl!

#180. Darius Stills - DT - West Virginia: The Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year makes a great grab for the 49ers late in the draft. He has a high motor and an explosive first step. The Niners had a virtual meeting with Stills in February, and he is the son of a former NFL DE, Gary Stills, who played 10 seasons and was a Pro Bowl selection in 2003!

#194. Tamorrion Terry - WR - Florida State: Terry is a "homerun hitter" when it comes to his style of play as a Wideout! He holds the FSU school record with 5 career touchdowns of 70+ yards. He could've went into the draft after his SO year, but wanted to stay and get extra coaching in his JR season. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury and only played 5 games this past season, but with his size (6'3, 207) and speed, "Scary Terry" is a sleeper and steal in the sixth round!

#197. Wyatt Hubert - EDGE - Kansas State: Dude's got massive biceps and is NFL strong already! He has a motor that never stops with endless energy! Hubert will be a solid backup that will provide more depth on the defensive line, where he will get to hone his craft and learn from one of the best DE's in football, in Nick Bosa!

WITHOUT TRADES (Keeping the picks as the 49ers Draft Order currently stands...more Realistic version)

#3. Mac Jones - QB - Alabama: The ideal quarterback for Shanahan. Smart, accurate, and great footwork in the pocket. Jones had one of the best statistical seasons in college football history, as he set an FBS record for single-season completion percentage (311 of 402, 77.4%) and led the country with a school-record 4,500 passing yards, while ranking second with 41 passing TDs. 1st Team AP All-American, won the nation's best QB award, and was a Heisman Finalist. Mac developed his game in a program with the best coaches that have more NFL experience than any other college program!

#43. Carlos Basham - EDGE - Wake Forest: The "Boogie" Man will have QB's scared in their sleep when they have to prepare for and think about the nightmare pass-rush skills he has. Basham is BIG (6'5, 285) and has an array of moves. He would be a great fit for the 4-3 defensive scheme the 49ers operate!

#102 - Tyson Campbell - CB - Georgia: I know what you're thinking...He'll be gone by this pick...trust us, we would've thought so too! We were surprised when Campbell was still there, and we snatched him up right away! At 6'2, 205 he is a big, physical corner with fluid hips that fits what the Niners are looking for and need at the CB position!

#117 - Hunter Long - TE - Boston College: The Niners would like to have another pass-catching TE to pair with George Kittle, and they'd be getting one of the best TE's in college football, this past season, in Hunter Long. With 12.0 ypr and 1st downs on 60% of his catches, Hunter knew how to get "Long" strides and extend drives. Slippery separation and smooth, sticky hands! Shanny would have another weapon with him on the field!

#155. Jamien Sherwood - S - Auburn: Sherwood is a sure fire pick for the 49ers at this point in The Draft. He's one of those hybrid safety/linebackers that can play the rover position. He has great size (6'2, 220) and he had 75 tackles last season. He is a physical hitter that can cover any offensive position player, and the 49ers are one of the teams he has met with, prior to The Draft!

#172. Tamorrion Terry - WR - Florida State: see above notes from our "Dream Draft" with trades, as he is our Draft Crush this year, and we have made sure to select him in every 2021 Mock draft we've done!

#180. Josh Myers - C - Ohio State: Myers has great potential to become a long-time future starter for the 49ers! As a big guy at 6'5, 312, he moves extremely well, which is key in Shanahan's Zone-Style offense. He also has the intelligence and leadership ability to call out protections. It's been proven that Big 10 offensive linemen have what it takes to be productive in the NFL!

#194. Larry Borom - OT - Missouri: Borom is a massive offensive lineman at 6'5, 322 lbs! He has experience as a tacke on the left and right sides in college, and he has also lined up at left guard for the tigers. He is a great downfield blocker and fits a power run scheme, and you know the Niners love to run the ball!

#230. Chuba Hubbard - RB - Oklahoma State: Shanny loves getting the late round / underrated and undrafted RB's and turning them into gold. Hubbard is a speedy back in the mold of current 49ers RB Raheem Mostert. He also has vision, and can catch the ball out of the backfield. Another slept-on star RB in the making! Chuba will chew defenses apart!

So, there you have it! Our 2021 Smith Fam Mock Drafts! 49ers Faithful, we're curious to know what you think! Hopefully you enjoyed our two different draft scenarios, and the way we think they will play out! Please comment!

Why do you have Jones as the selection in one draft at 3 but in the other you have Pitts? Both will be available at 3. Which would you pick?
@CardinalGold That's a good question. The thinking behind it is we want a QB we can see have a future with the 49ers. In the draft with Pitts we were able to acquire trades that allowed us the draft capitol to pickup not just a QB, but really fill the gaps we think the Niners have. The non-trade draft, is the more realistic scenario. While we like Jones, we can't help but think of the potential of Pitts with Kittle and the kind of dynamic schemes he can be plugged into. The Niners do need a QB and we see the potential in Mills as well.
I got the same pick on 1, 2, and 3. Check out my mock draft
