Trading for Payne would be huge. He is great against the run and has 20 pressures this year. We need to restructure a deal or two but he is worth it. He definitely would be a starter over Kinlaw. It would give Armstead enough time to get back healthy. Trade them a RB they need one along with a higher pick in 2024. It would be a tough trade to pull off.

I would not mind Austin Hooper. His base salary is a little over a million dollars, and it might only take a late round to get it done. I like him in the red zone and is solid with great hands.

Not going to ever happen but I love Brian Burns. Great pass rusher, no need to elaborate cause it won't happen.

Agreed about Payne if they could somehow pull it off. The interior DL could really use some help with AA out and Kinlaw being a big ? with his knee issues. Plug Payne in and as you mention he's the starter even when/if Kinlaw does return this year.

OBJ is recovering from an injury. But I can understand Suh wanting more than $5 mil and I can understand the why the 49ers wouldn't pay that.

Also wait till week 10, get an accrued season, get more money per game, and more time to evaluate the strength of the contender.

I would be OK with OBJ, not sure of his health though.

But with the news of texans listening to offers for Cooks, me likey. I think he ,like CMC, will only cost 700k orso this year. He knows the offense well enough already.
Then cut or trade him. Send a 3rd then get a 4th or 5th back in the offseason.

Trade Wilson to the Jets since they lost Breece.

Would like to get a RG upgrade. C is the priority I just don't see it happening this season.

If it's a RG with RT potential even better. Kill two birds.
