This season reminds me of the Dennis Erickson season. Was it Cortez? I don't remember the name of the kicker but we lost 2 games because of extra points and two more from missed kicks… And one from a botched punt ? Maybe kick return I don't recall… but it was a lot of losses from special teams.
It's easy to not think about things like your long snapper or your kicker… until you start loosing games.
I like DE, but loosing games because of extra points is in excusable.

I think hes contributed positive plays. I dont hate the guy.

I don't either but he's missed to many kicks to get rid of Gould. It seems this is why he's lost other jobs as well. I hope he keeps working at it and improves that accuracy because he's got the leg to hit big shots.

It's crazy how common it has become for kickers to miss extra points now.

Idk...problem is Gould can't kick 50+ yard FG anymore, and how much longer can he actually play for, maybe another year? I wouldn't mind if we keep him.

He's only attempted 4 kicks this year, but one was a conversion from 52. He can still kick 50+, but the league is moving towards guys who can kick 55+ minimum, and many can convert from 60+ now. Gould is maxed out around 55 for sure.

Maybe because they moved it from the 2 yard line to the 20 ?
