Says 49ers will keep Jimmy G, bring in Darnold on the cheap, let him learn the system, see where it goes. Stafford is going to the Patriots. Will go after blue chip tight end.

If Darnold could be had on an "earn it" deal and draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd...is that any worse than a Beathard/Mullens back up situation? I could see Beathard coming back at a cheap prove it deal as well and let the best 2 out of 3 win the roster spots. JG (likely starter), then whichever 2 win out of Darnold/Beathard/rookie.

I'd rather have Darnold than Rosen but that is not saying much. Its like QB bust Pokemon. Rosen, Darnold....maybe they sign Haskins too. Gotta catch em all!

Darnold at least has shown stuff that made him a top 3 pick with many thinking he should've gone 1. But both qbs were done wrong with their situations, it really matters as a young qb where you're drafted.

I don't think he's a bust yet. I've seen some good things out of him, and some potential. Although, he does have some pretty decent weapons around him, none of them have been healthy. Barkley has played in like 2 games since he was drafted. Either way, you can't say the Giants made the wrong choice picking him over Haskins when Haskins seemed to be the perfect fit. Would take Daniel Jones in a heartbeat over Darnold.

Would love to see Darnold on the Giants and Jones on the Jets, Darnold gets such a bad rep and a lot has to do with the crap situation with Gase and just the junk around him. Just last year he went 7-9 and missed those 3 games with mono which they lost all 3 with pretty much the same crap.
I don't think Jones is bad but I don't think he's someone you say I rather take him over Darnold hands down
