I can see why they would gamble on Wentz but it's a gamble that will probably backfire. Sucks to be them, though.
Part of helping a QB to stay on the field is having an OL worth a damn, something that Philly has not had, something that Wentz will have with the Colts.
And also, that draft pick's salary would have been less than Wentz salary.
And if Wentz starts playing more like he did in 2017 and 2018, he'll be worth far more to them than that draft pick most likely ever could. Its a gamble but its not a bad one. Wentz played his best under Reich who is the Colts coach. They brought in his former QB coach from Philly who he apparently had a good relationship with. The Colts have much a better coaching and front office situation so if he's going to succeed anywhere, it'll be there.
