Question is would Washington trade him with the loss of Chase Young?? I'd say chances are slim to none unless you throw in a high pick.
There not contending this season and he's on the last year of his deal. If they could get a mid round pick I don't see why they wouldn't consider it.

Young is day to day. He'll be fine.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Washington
DE Chase Young (groin) is expected to miss Week 4 against the Ravens.
Young is week to week with a groin strain. It's a downgrade to a Washington defense that's been better than expected. Young had six tackles, a forced fumble, and 2.5 sacks in three games before going down last week. Ryan Kerrigan will start for Young.

They're not going anywhere and I think he's a FA after the year and there would be playoff teams going after him so doubt he stays

If we do make a trade I hope we don't use up good draft picks. We need them to continue to build through the draft. The rebuild phase is over (ended 2-3 years early thank goodness) and now we are in the maintain phase. We'll have to let good players go bc we cant afford them but we'll need to replace them in the draft.
Trading for guys like Kerrigan sounds good but giving up a good pick like we did with E. Sanders and then they leave the next year isn't ideal.

This year that kind of is ideal because of the uncertainty on where the salary cap will be set at in 2021.

Kerrigan is so underrated man. Probably will be the quietest 100 career sacks in nfl history.
Agreed.
For sure. NEVER hear him talked about much, never brought up in my football circles...not even once.

Yeah Pettis should be moved but I'd rather him goto the AFC, I'd be so mad if he became a great player on the packers lol

There's got to be a young DE, that's buried on some teams depth chart, that we can get for a draft pick.
