Hard to get them when everyone else has a chance to get them before us.

I thought veterans don't go through waivers and those two qualify

Let's do it. If anyone knows how to stop the option qb stuff, it's him.

Jenkins isn't coming here as depth. I doubt we'll pursue him anyway.

Suggs should definitely be looked at and hopefully signed, as for Jenkins, while he's very talented I'd pass but also wouldn't be mad if signed

Considering what's left on Jenkins contract. I doubt anyone will claim him off waivers.
I expect some team will claim Suggs though.

No way we will get a crack at Suggs. Hawks would snag him as they're lower on the totem pull. Would be nice to pick him up as I'm sure he's got a few down left in him.
We shall see we have until Monday then he's free

If he makes through waivers the 49ers should definitely take a chance on Suggs. He's a seasoned vet with a lot of playoff experience. Plus I think he could help some of our younger pass rushers grow just by his play, technique, and prep. He also would be another player that has that nasty swagger. He's definitely near the end of his career but I think with limited snaps he could be disruptive on the end of the d line. Like a previous poster said he has a lot of experience against the read option and rpo play designs. If we play the ravens again we need a d end that will crash down and just blow Lamar Jackson up early in the game possibly limiting Jackson's runs. They need to know if you want to run with Jackson he's going to be the target every time.

Must be a glitch in the webzone. Looks like a thread made in 2012 got bumped. No way this was posted now.
