Austin Hooper or Hunter Henry

Damn is Henry already a FA? Man he's a fkn stud but often hurt.
I could definitely see Hooper being an offseason signing in FA given Kyle was there when he was drafted. He's young, productive, familiar with the offense, and TE is a less expensive position than WR. I don't know how likely an in-season trade would be though.
Hooper and Henry will both want to start. Unless Kyle can convince them he'll be in 22 all game long it wouldn't make much sense for them to sign.

That being said I'd rather sign them then any of the wrs.
Honestly, it's a cool idea to have another star at TE, but that's in no way a weakness now, Levine and Dwelley are doing great at what's asked, Celek could be back, why spend draft capital or money in the offseason on a position not of need, a number 1 WR is the need as of now, was FS but Ward is playing great so far..

Because you can get much better value you for your money. Hooper at 10 mil a year beats any of the WRs at 20.

BUt you want to pay 10 million a year for a player and position that won't be an every down player ???? I don't..
You could also add Evan Engram, OJ Howard and perhaps Delanie Walker to the conversation all would require different compensation.

Engram has nice value in that he still has a year left on his rookie deal

It depends on how much they plan on using them.

I'm fine with paying 10 mil less for 15 less snaps. If it's 25+ that's an issue.

Gronk/Hernandez was pretty damn hard to stop at its peak. If you go 22 with Juice you got the defense completely guessing on what will happen.
1. Isn't Kittle set up for a big payday?? We pay him or lose him ! #harshreality
2. D'welley is the backup at both TE and FB, has did a good job and is cheap; wouldn't a journeyman or any of the 3rd guys we have at TE suffice?
3. Would Hooper or Henry come here to play behind Kittle?? Would they be paid like backups or starters??
This makes no sense

Never did lol
With how well Henry and Hooper had been playing, we couldn't afford either if we hope to pay Kittle.

With Kittle and Juice, I don't think we make a huge splash here. Maybe a Darren Fells to add a RZ threat to the team.
SF isn't gonna have much cash to make outside FA adds IMO.
