Sadly I think you're right and it may cost us a game or two

Colbert is better than Ward so I don't mind FO giving him a chance to compete with others in camp once he's healthy.

Ward can get the boot before kickoff. Maybe he and AA get traded for AJ Green if Bungles want to deal with us (if we're interested)

Kilgore and Marsh got love from FO, but once something better came along, they got the boot. I hope that will be the case for Ward as well.

There is still hope that the position will be addressed in the draft. Otherwise, perhaps Colbert will return to his earlier form, given the improvements in the team's pass rush. My fear at this point is that they just don't see how important it is to have a competent free safety.

I fear you're right however if we spend the 36 pick on a playmaker safety I will be pleased. Not too sure our 3rd round pick may produce a good safety. We will have to wait and see

None of us thought kittle would be what he became. Gems do exist in the late rounds.
