Tre Boston - FS

One of the worst tackling safeties I've ever seen. Makes Colbert look like Ed Reed in that regard. This guy couldn't tackle a RB wearing cement shoes.

Beyond that he's alright.
Id sign him. Underrated and was a pain in our asses in the 2 losses to Cards

Ringing endorsement if I've ever heard one...

He'll fit right in!!

But seriously is it just running backs he has problems with? Because we have enough run defense as it is. Our problem is passing defense.

He tackles like a spazz. I've watched this dude run at a receiver to tackle them and somehow run right past them on more than one occasion.

we will fix his tackling issues just like Kwon. Don't worry about it. Saleh will get the job done

Anything that moves in the open field.

Kwon looks like Brian Urlacher compared to Boston.

Yeah, that's not gonna work. This team needs a sure tackler and a playmaker at S.

I'm surprised he hasn't received more attention. He was a free agent last season, and had to settle for a cheap one-year deal. He keeps getting better every year, and he's only 26. He and Shaquil Barrett are the two FAs still on the market that I want the most, and neither would cost the moon.

I agree. They are the best boom or bust pick upa that come cheap
The San Francisco 49ers haven't given up on Jimmie Ward yet. The team is re-signing the defensive back to a one-year deal, according to Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL.

Great 49ers gift ideas
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that the one-year deal is worth $5 million.

all bets are probably off now....
Honestly Jimmy is a solid player at FS, just a fkin glass doll
if the pass rush is as efficient as it should be after the addition of Allen or Bosa the secondary will be fine! Nobody can cover receivers for 4-5 seconds like we asked our DB's to do last year!
RE Allen/Bosa
LE Ford
DT Buckner,Thomas,Armstead
Our pass rush should be legit this year thus vastly improving our secondary
They won't sign this guy. The niners like ward's personality. Personality, not skill, is what wins football games. Right?
This dude would be an immediate improvement over Ward/Colbert. In the last two seasons, he actually started 28/32 games, eight interceptions, forced a fumble, 17 PBU's, 120+ tackles and the Cardinals/Chargers pass defenses had better seasons with him. He even has experience in a similar defense with Gus Bradley.

Signing this guy for cheap would make a lot of sense. Too much sense. So it won't happen.
