Most of the greats were backups at some point.
Most? I can think of three. Brady behind bledsoe. Young behind Joe. Rodgers behind farve.
Those were very unique situations where it was a hall of famer replacing a hall of famer. (Bledsoe will get his due eventually, or is he in?)
Cj is a good qb. For what he is. A backup. He doesn't have the tools a guy like jg or Rodgers have. He goes through the motions, does his job, and goes home. He simply can't "will" his team to win like Jimmy did last year.
Its not a knock on him. I hope he plays well and we get some wins. But if Im building a franchise around a guy, its not him.
Good luck in this thread op. Hope he wins some games, or you are going to be eaten alive. Lol
But Jimmy didn't do much winning this year before he broke.
Maybe we should clone him first, then trade him
