I dont know if that would be enough. If Rosen is sitting there and there are 2 teams that want him with 2 first round picks I would rather take Buffalos picks than New Englands, we could probably stretch it to getting a second this year as well if they want the pick that bad. If we get that, i would call that a huge win for us as we could fill a couple more holes without eating up a lot of cap space.

3 1sts, a second, a third, and Gronk? That seems a bit much no?

They will move up higher if they feel Rosen is the guy. Waiting for him to drop till 9 is risking on losing their guy

I think this is DOA from the gitgo, because Rosen is long gone by #9. I love the idea,,, but some very strange things would have to happen by 4,5, or 6 teams that badly need a top flite QB. If Chubb is taken in top 2-4 picks , then Landry falls, then Minkah , and maybe Saquon, add in Nelson, and say Edmunds or Davenport are also gone, then that means the top teams went for outstanding D EDGES , LBs, the best OG in draft, and the best RB. but CLEVE did burn one on their top Qb....well, we could have our choice of 3 of the top 4 QBs. But the chances of all those IFs is probably zero, as in ,, it just isn't happening. LIkewise, the likelihood of one QB making it thru til #9 seems remote. But as you say it could happen. Ergo, our chance of doing a fifteen minute auction at #9 isn't going to happen. I bet there are still trades to be made to jump up higher in draft by 3, 4 or even 5 teams gunning for the top 4 QBs.
A lot also depends on just how badly JL wants Landry or Davenport. It is no secret we have a very good DL...but no ER. And with an ER, that suddenly makes all 10 other D players much bettter. And we would then have an outside pressure so we get a very good passrush. We helped that already with Attachou, but he isn't enough. Good start tho. The only way we don't go Landry, or Davenport is because JL doesn't believe they are NFL material. Their films sure look good, all of them, but is that what Lynch thinks is enough to create outside pressure? That is the question and only question. Most of us think so, but does he?

With the Gronk using his retirement plan in order to get the max contract for TE that he wants, the Coach will rather send him some place else and allow him to make that money from his new team.
And with the Patriots trying to land one of the QBs available, I fully believe that if Josh Rosen is there at the 9th spot, the Patriots and the 49ers will be making this deal.
We'll get : Rams' #1 this year (now w/NE), the Partiors #1 this year, our original 2nd (now w/NE) round, 3rd, then Gronk and then next year's 1st, and swap of 2nd rounder.
We'll send them the 9th overall pick, Armstead, swap of 2nd next year and a 5th rounder.
I also have the feeling something might happen with the Pats, however, no way Rosen is there at 9.
